Labor is significantly cheaper in Asia compared to the US. Simple as. If you compare the budget of an anime compared to an average American show, it's night and day.

This isn't a good thing. Eastern animators are often overworked and earning less than minimum wage compared to the U.S.

The original Mortal Kombat movie. The newest Sonic movie was also pretty good imo.

But yes, this can probably go very wrong.

If anything I wish competition in the laptop space would be fiercer. We know Nvidia and AMD are making ARM chips but it might be a while, all we have now are Snapdragon and they aren't very good.

DONT USE UNETBOOTIN. This tool more often than not breaks something and causes issues for people. Somebody I know used it and broke booting into Windows, he had to use a USB anyway to fix the bootloader.

Nice to see they're still updating PoE 1. Too many people have been worried they'd abandon that game and focus on the sequel.

I'm not sure if you've played directly on release but they did nerf the puppet king two weeks after release or so, he has way less HP than he used to when the game came out

I can't believe we got Monster Train 2 before Slay the Spire 2 despite it being announced way earlier. Still excited to play this at least.

This isn't even them scraping private chats and small servers, they just scraped public servers in the discovery tab. None of that information was ever private, and every user can browse the chat history there.

What's it going to embrace and extend? WSL has existed for ages and is just a way to run Linux in a convenient container on top of Windows. That's it. It's not an attempt to "extenguish" Linux, literally just make the development experience on Windows less painful so people don't switch to another OS. This has nothing to do with EEE.

Open sourcing it with a permissive license can only be a good thing, and again they're doing it to be more appealing to devs and maybe get free bug fixes from the open source community. It isn't some grand conspiracy. But of course this community will react to news of "proprietary blob is now open source" with pessimism.

It is a little funny that even after Sony backpedaled hard on live service after Concord, the one studio they bought to make live service games instantly started failing too. Destiny hasn't been doing too great either. Sony have been very unlucky this generation.

Thank you. I think most communities need to enforce a rule like this because there are a lot of ridiculous people on the platform. I post a ton on /c/games and /c/movies and I'm still getting a lot of comments that are essentially whining about hating the company that made it or telling others to stop enjoying it. If you're on a gaming community and aren't here to talk about gaming, why ARE you here in the first place?

Shoutout to a lot of times I post about a new game and get occasional comments similar to "Ew why would I buy a 70 euro game when I can wait 2 years to buy it at 15 euros". adds absolutely nothing to the conversation. Also the occasional "is this post an ad???" comment for posting an article about upcoming games.

This is my biggest complaint now that I'm farther along. There genuinely isn't much reason to switch weapons, especially with ammo so easy to get just by spamming melee. Since you can just stand in front of everybody and parry, range doesn't matter at all.

Yes, it's very fun. I'm not sure why you're so pessimistic on it, it's another good DOOM game and vast majority of reviewers never get paid to hype something up. I'm not too far in it yet but first impressions is that it's closer to Doom 2016 than Eternal, there isn't much platforming or acrobatics.

The only thing I'm not sold on is the story. They added a lot of story and cutscenes. I have no idea what's going on honestly. Feels a lot like they added too much Warhammer 40k to the Doom franchise.
