I'm assuming it coolercontrol, so i've uninstalled that, but nvidia-settings still reverts to this:

As of the moment, steam is opening and running as per normal, but a reboot still resets Nvidia-settings to the first image, even after reinstalling the latest drivers from popshop.
I've just finished all Daniel Suarez's books. I found his visions of a tech future interesting. Best ones for me were Daemon, then the sequel freedom™, Change Agent, Delta V and the sequel Critical Mass - all great reads imo. Only book I didn't like was kill Decision.
You could go down the GPU Passthrough option to a VM. If you have integrated and and another GPU you could use LookingGlass and never even have to leave the Linux instance. Single passthrough is what i use to run Gamepass as you do get some good games Day one.
I know you have an adguard, but have you thought about ditching those and using pinhole+unbound?
