Glad to help. Consider dropping the NetGuard dev some coin, he's doing incredible work. He also develops FairEmail which imho is the best IMAP email app in existence.
You can sandbox an app using Shelter. You can block the internet access of that app using NetGuard. Both apps are available on F-Droid and easy to setup. No special OS needed but I strongly recommend GrapheneOS to avoid backdoors.
Seconded. I use Gboard because it has the same functionality but I have to sandbox it and restrict all internet access via firewall. I still don't trust it and would prefer a FOSS alternative with the same functionality.
Definitely. I also don't have much time to play but then you just take a slower pace. BG isn't some competitive online game that forces you to commit unreasonable amounts of time to it if you want to enjoy it. Although you'll be occupied for quite a while if you take it slow because the game is huge.
So much this! And with the connectivity between Rhino/Archivad, Revit and TwinMotion I fear a solution is far away. Which surprises me because all of our professional software works fine natively on Mac, which is also Unix based. Isn't there an easy way to emulate from that direction?
Bought it a few weeks ago and could compare the early access version to the final version now. Not only is the game amazing and incredibly deep but also very polished. I did encounter some very minor bugs but overall, I'm completely amazed.
Same, switched to an easy Mint install and immediately felt more in control of my computer again. Some professional software does still cause problems though so a 100% switch sadly isn't possible... yet.
The salt is strong with this one.
