  • Creative entrepreneur. Center screen is for whatever I'm currently working on, be that product design, our website, emailing clients or suppliers, research, whatever. Right screen will have relevant reference material for whatever is on the center screen. Left screen is for music controls/discord, but it's also a drawing tablet for any time I need to drop the mouse and start hand-drawing for design work, at which point the music and chat move to the right screen.

  • They do have a say in whether or not they want to raise it. No one is demanding that they be active and attentive parents. They're just being told that they need to help financially support the child that they had an active hand in creating.

Until UBI and true test tube births are a thing, pregnancy will always put all of the risk on the birth giver. This is inherently unfair. In order to even out that risk, the non-birthing parent should be required to support the child to a minimum level.

Granted, UBI and universal support would entirely negate the need for this discussion and it's what we should be working towards in the long run, but we can't just... not support the kids in the mean time.

  • Shitty cereal is my weakness, but even then you can fit it into an otherwise healthy diet as a treat every now and then. I just buy the tiny box once a month and only have a few bowls. Working on a box of fruity pebbles right now, lol.

  • I dunno, I feel like it's mostly just people being people. We have a truck and a sporty little hatchback and people are just as apt to drive like assholes around both cars, despite my husband and I both also being the "drive just enough above the speed limit that we probably won't get a ticket" drivers, and otherwise adhering almost exactly to road laws the way only mildly obsessive neurodivergents can. I think people either just don't know road laws or don't care about them and get pissed when other people do and "impede" their oh-so-important trip.

  • That sounds like a you problem, maybe you should raise your kids to be more conscientious lol

I mean for fucksake, my friend's 15 year old knows he can't make plans without checking with mom, even just as a courtesy. Raise a good kid and it's not a problem, just don't let them do whatever the fuck they want?
