In These Five Social Media Speech Cases, Supreme Court Set Foundational Rules for the Future

  • As a grad student, if it's not a research paper I tend to ask for the paper they sourced for the info. But look over the very brief synopsis I gave below to see why it's logical to conclude the organ/human body-on-a-chip could surpass CRISPR. The paper's straight up mind blowing cover to cover. While CRISPR envokes ethical dilemmas, the chip tech solves many while also providing breakthrough research and treatment options!

  • Technically, you pretty much already are! The human body regularly removes reactive oxygen species from the system. If these were left unchecked, our life span would be MUCH shorter. Also, the cell cycle has numerous players responsible for preventing cancer. In addition, the immune system is a legitimate marvel, especially when it comes to preventing infections & disease. Human sweat, tears, mucus, saliva, and even a Mom's breast milk all posses antimicrobial aspects. And that's only the innate or 1st line of the immune system defense. Recently it was even discovered when in the womb, a mother conducts horizontal gene transfer to ensure the offsprings microbiome will take up most the microbial real estate effectively. This prevents pathogens from being able to adhere and grow when introduced into the body 🤯

  • First, a small silicon chip is printed with specific patterns. Then, stem cells are introduced and grown in unique environments depending on the desired organ tissue. Down the road, they hope to be able to print organs for patients using their DNA. This will eliminate long wait times for some organs, as well as prevent any chance of organ rejection after transplantion. Right now, this allows labs to stop animal test while simultaneously acquiring exponentially more accurate human data. Also, this will drastically slash the time and cost required to bring a drug to market!!

  • I agree, the organ-on-a-chip tech from the end of 2022 has the ability to be even more game changing, which is wild to say! Both projects I'm following quite closely to see how they advance.

  • What makes you prefer OnlyOffice over LibreOffice? I like how OnlyOffice seems to decrease possible format errors, so I tend to open docs in it after putting them together in Libre.

  • Using gentry as a slam indicates he views himself as royalty. Gentry is defined as "people of good social position, specifically the class of people next below the nobility in position". FUCK SPEZ!!!

  • They also have an amazing treatment which has been proven to prevent diabetics from needing amputations. This is massive, any diabetic who receives an amputation is then at exponentially higher risk of requiring another down the road. Yet, because the US is apparently unable to see past it's own propaganda, the medicine is not allowed in the country. The US is #1 for cases of type 1 diabetes and #3 for all types of diabetes, but who needs game changing medical options?

  • Dang, it appears as if Guatemala is taking notes from the USA when it comes to journalist publishing the facts.

  • I'm not too sure, but I wish there was more action from the code being open sourced. I remember reading a little while back some newer code was leaked for NVIDIA as well, but pretty much the similar issue as there hasn't been too much done with the info as far as I know.

  • I know, but it's progress none the less. At this point, I'd be nearly insane to expect this to work with NVIDIA out the gate :/

  • Your guess is as good as mine, has the GAMMA_LUT been made open sourced already?

  • Since Redhat will be dropping x11 with Fedora 39, I'm hoping it'll be all systems a go in the near future.

  • Perplexity.ai is the best, without question beats ChatGPT. You can setup GPT-4 for ChatGPT answers, but it requires an account. Thankfully they accept alias email address for accounts. Regardless of GPT-4, the site always provides filters like all or academic and also provides sources for any provided information. It is the only way I use AI!

Edit: Perplexity also offers a conscience explanation by default but you can ask for a detailed explanation as well. It's the bee's knee's

  • This, the polarity of the cell which permits selective permeability & a hydrophilic environment means alcohol's will be functional as antiseptics due to the hydroxyl (OH) group. However, alcohol needs to be approximately 70% for max efficiency as OH2 facilities it's ability to denature the cell.

  • Standard Notes is a big one for me. Thunderbird is the only way I access email on my PC. LibreOffice (or OnlyOffice) is regularly used on my end too. VLC is amazing and the only method I listen to music or watch videos on my devices. JabRef is a phenomenal bibliography tool I use for papers. Plus, Kdenlive is an amazing video + audio editing tool I use to clean up OBS recordings. Lastly, Syncthing is how I manage files across multiple devices. All of these are fantastic and a big aspect of my day to day.

  • It's a journey to get fully free and open sourced. I'm 5+ years into it and only earlier this year began running FOSS based privacy and security focused software on all my devices. I love learning and the more I learn the more anonymous I'm able to be, so I enjoy it. Plus, fuck any company selling my data without me making a cent!

  • Great point, I wish everyone understood how applied physics is chem and applied chem is bio. As this allows for dissection of events.
