'Only the People Save the People' - Spain Goes on General Strike Against Genocide in Gaza

  • Yep, security enables privacy, this is why the two are often referenced together.

  • I know www.open-assistant.io was looking for help from anyone to put the final touches on their AI a little while back. Haven't kept up recently but it'll be a solid option once live.

  • My reference is regarding signal removing SMS and how ~75% of my messaging is SMS. If signal still offered SMS, it would make having others switch much much easier. I do use a security and privacy based VOIP service for sms and calls currently. But the moves I make are almost always much more than my friends are willing to do.

  • Does Molly or TwinHelix still allow sms? If so, on top of having no Google dependencies, it'd be a no brainer switch for me.

  • Mull (Firefox privacy fork for mobile) allows an external download manager to be used, would this work?

  • I hear you on the sub domains being easier to ID but they do work with sites who prevent aliases and it's great for accounts which already have your info as a filter. There's also domains offered by SimpleLogin only for paid users, these are more anonymous while still working with anti alias websites too.

  • I'd say to get SimpleLogin's premium account. The sub domains allowing you to make new aliases on the fly instead of on the site or app is actually super helpful! Compatibility shouldn't be an issue at all, but SimpleLogin is more seamless with Proton.

  • I recall official (not 3rd party) Verizon stores having a receptacle for old phone disposal. Even try AT&T or T Mobile as old electronic disposal is quite routine for all three.

  • Thunderbird and K-9 Mail almost certainly will allow you to access your @edu emails. If there's a prevention enforced by the institution, Canary Mail is a solid fall back.

Edit: You can access the needed account info in the Gmail settings page and you'll need to grant whatever program third party access to your email as well.

  • Let hope so, I've seen how inhibiting RA can be at times. There's a lot of unknowns when it comes to inflammation & fever in the human body. We know fever actually helps limit the extent of inflammation & some specific aspects of both, but with a clearer picture we'll be able to make strides in many different areas.

  • Sofascore is a great option. FlashScore is also worth a look too.

  • Some Sony and Canon camera's save in .hif as it's better quality than JPEG while requiring less space. It can also be used for a sequence of images, audio, & video. So makes sense Shotwell added .hif functionality as it's quite versatile.

  • Wine would allow for windows software to run on Linux. This would add additional potential software problems, but you wouldn't need help from only Apple to fix em.

  • If 23&Me checked for the specific marker, then sure. But they focus on family lineage and not exactly unique mutations. Mutations are also rare, you could have it while neither of your parents do as well. So they wouldn't be exactly incentivized to run the test I'd bet. It'd be more logical for a company who assess cancer likelihoods to be willing to run this test though.

  • Wouldn't a RHEL or similar distro which offers enterprise support be a good solution? Also, tech folks are very comfy on Linux as it's how the internet basically operates. A distro with enterprise support and fully functional GUI that's similar to windows seems like a solid solution to move from windows. What makes you hesitant to run RHEL on a sale employees computer?

  • Would Linux not be a better call? Both upfront and maintenance cost would be much lower without question.

  • Use edit & retract the first part of the first sentence! There's quality simply in the extent of time it's been a workable alternative for ya!

  • It's really just a PR way to say the pilots are on the same page, as far as I see it at least.
