  • every few months i open lemmy and see a bean meme, and then i know the entire day shall be filled with bean memes, then it'll go away, until a few months pass again and it's bean meme day again

  • oh nah lol, i'd just keep a decent amount of money to live comfortably + bit extra for the occasional adhd "new hobby" shopping spree. if "a lot" means billions, the majority of it i'd most likely donate to charities or give away to friends and random people, i have no desire to hoard wealth

    1. feels like a trap, once you burn through all your fat you'll be impossibly unhealthy
    2. is a trap too, if you stop gaining weight from eating then you might trap yourself in the same situation as above
    3. unless you hunt for food, bad idea
    4. decent option, but it doesn't mention if there's any pain during the growth period
    5. good option, as long as you have control over your strength
    6. very bad option, sounds nice but you will go insane
    7. doesn't say if online or IRL, having many followers IRL is not desirable
    8. dangerous, erasing any meaningful memories is dangerous
    9. the only good option with no consequences i can think of. i'll take 3 of those
  • man, you haven't seen the show, it's not a small detail it's a pretty major thing 😭 i ain't believing someone who says "i don't like broccoli" when they've never tried eating broccoli

  • oh no i respect your position of not wanting to watch it, i recommended it to you but i won't somehow force you to see it.

i just don't acknowledge your opinion of how you think you'd like no aspect of it, because well, you can't know that without yk, having seen it

  • aww, well if you're feeling adventurous one day and want to go exploring media you otherwise wouldn't - i hope AtLA is the first on your list. the characters are really well written and it's truly a great story. Do have a bit of patience with it though, the first few episodes were testing the waters, haha, and there's many more single episode stories there with mostly just goofing around than in other seasons, a proper overaching storyline begins when the deadline is set

  • as someone who hates turn based games, and heavily dislikes JRPGs and this game has both...

yeah it's still amazing, even just the story, character writing, and world building can carry you through at peak investment in the game, for people who actually like the core mechanics it must be even better of an experience (thank god for storymode)

imo go watch the first ~10min of a silent gameplay (to watch the cutscenes)
