  • Peoplesdispatch is one I put high trust into but all reporting is inherently biased and should be read with an understanding of its biases. I also like the Al Jazeera and Jacobin but both of those can be hit or miss sometimes. Especially the Jacobin lmao

  • Project zomboid dev

  • I was also on the internet when I was 14. It would have been better if I were ignored

  • Something I have learned from Anarchists is how reactionaries take over political and non-political spaces. A few arrive and they adhere to all the rules but push bounderies where they can to see whats acceptable. Eventually it reaches a point where that space has a discussion publicly by users or privately by mods on what to do about this person or group. They aren't technically breaking any rules so it feels wrong to remove them but they have upset enough people to get to this point that it feels SOMETHING must be done. If this user gets banned at most the space gets some wreckers and trolls that are annoying but the precedent has been set so they will get removed too. However if this person is not banned it means that space is recognized as safe for people like them. Others follow and the space becomes hostile to some of its original userbase until it becames a reactionary cesspit. It doesn't always end up there, but it is better not to tolerate intolerance when it is easy to spot.

  • Minecraft, it will always be minecraft. Its the only game I can't help but come back to every year atleast

  • I believe that we should treat most people as if they have free will but I don't exactly believe in the idealistic notion of free will. I believe we can make choices, but I believe our choices are limited and shaped by our experiences.

  • Try project zomboid if you haven't already

  • Can I mod them? Because if so

    • minecraft
    • skyrim
    • terraria
    • dark souls 2
    • hollowknight (so i can finally get those speedrun achievements)
  • This is my fourth meme about Orpheus today? Wtf is going on

  • RFK considers people with ADHD who are perscribed stimulants to be addicts

  • I am really glad and very priveleged to have been diagnosed with ADHD. However, I worry that my official diagnoses might put me in danger soon

  • I think long term we could find a place for those who wish to live in a decentralized commune free of hierarchy. I understand that the centralized vision of communist human progress essentially requires hierarchy but I think we will progress to a point where that becomes undesirable for a large amount of people. Eventually we will reevaluate what it means to even progress.

  • I mean kind of yes but most people would not call them synonymous

  • Ok so lets say you get rid of the central authority in one fell swoop. What happens when the millions of people who really really benefitted from that authority or atleast believe themselves to benefit decide they want it back. Can a decentralized stateless society truly win political or military battles against them? I can tell you from history that everyone who has tried this eventually resorted to their own centralized authority in order to survive, failed, or both. Communist do not see centralized authority as good, we see it as a means to survive.

  • Thats so funny because you have it completely backwards. Communism, the end goal, is a moneyless, classless, stateless society in which hierarchy has ceased to exist. State socialism or "the dictatorship of the proletariat" is a interim step on the path to communism that aims to eliminate class and the social structures that perpetuate it.
