  • There is just something about coq that feels bad. I play CDDA, i play elona, i dabble in DF, and i play the heck out of kenshi, but coq just doesn't click. Maybe it's the UI, maybe the game just doesn't feel as deep or as rewarding to explore.

  • Nah. That's nonsense.

A career? Fuck that noise, statistically you will never make enough to make the effort worth it, get a job that offers you what you need and doesn't demand more bullshit from you (although i understand some places just won't let this happen). Family? Frankly i think having kids is a mistake regardless, but once they are old enough you shouldn't be a helicopter parent anyway. A partner? Good partners let you have some time for yourself and your hobbies (and that goes both ways!).

  • Oh man, norman vs the outback sounds like a game to remember

  • Did they think war was like a hurricane? Stay in the eye and you're all good?

  • Nothing. Even the most boot licking sycophants point out most of a CEO's day is just pointless meetings that don't need to happen. Occasionally a crisis comes up and a CEO will have to do something, or the odd CEO will give themselves actual duties, but that's not a day to day thing.

  • You know, I'd expect he'd love holidays. Since He's a lazy bitch and enjoys spectacle.

  • You realize normal people can take information and make educated guesses based on that information, yeah?

  • No, i just saw (some of) what they released to the public. The biggest red flag was the engine change, but before that they talked about redoing all of the generation.

  • 3 didn't write then into a corner, it just set up a landmark they refuse to acknowledge. they could have an entire universe of stories about units trying to survive the wars humanity has endured without needing some galaxy ending threat. Reach (the planet) was one variation of millions of similar stories humanity has in Halo and the game exploring it was one of the best, just do more of that!

  • They don't have it. They keep trying to escalate in a setting that already has the strongest opponent you can have without going entirely off the rails and they refuse to commit to anything.

  • It could probably be worth it to keep an active eye on your data even if it remains roughly the same. To keep an established base line, to keep an eye out for changes in environment in specific areas, to monitor the effects of aging, to sell you shit when your eye gets damaged. Probably other evil shit too, or just the paranoid urge to surveil people for no damn reason.

  • Selling data on people is a lucrative business. Although it is a business and not UBI.

  • Really interested in vr, but also not really interested in paying more than a full ass console for it. Well, i guess consoles are getting way over priced these days, but you get what i mean.

  • Well if you're looking for cake you're gonna see some 😏

  • He's not wrong, but i think appealing to yourself or at least a small niche just and foremost is the better goal to chase.

  • There was objectively foul play, the real question is if it was enough to turn the election.

  • Better yet, offer no strings attached income. For everyone. We have a lot of jobs that don't really need to exist and it's entirely senseless to force people to do bullshit work. We gotta escape this nonsense cultural dead end that says work is some noble purpose.

Now that is an objectively true position that will never get traction in our hellworld.

  • A plateauing population is a good thing! Growth is not a good thing! I don't get how people don't understand this. If something is going up forever it will eventually collapse spectacularly, if it's stable instead it'll stay stable.
