  • Only issue I have with KISS is I can't for some reason clear whatever it is that is setting an icon for my PWA for voyager. It shows the updated icon in recents, pixel launcher doesn't have it updated though either which makes it harder to tell if it's the launcher or fennec (Firefox) at fault.

Edit looks like it was kiss. Regenerating icons doesn't work. Clearing data does. I exported settings, cleared data, added pwa, icon changed, imported settings. Only downside is I lost my history.

  • AI isn't good enough to grade written responses. If your referring to chat gtp and the like, they meant to be factual. Also online multiple choice homework can suck awfully depending on the course; physics comes to mind in this scenario since it requires an answer with precision and matching units to mark the homework as correct and that can make it really difficult to resolve and even if the teacher sets it up for partial credit if you get it right after attempts, if you can't figure it out it is a 0. That physics homeaork destroyed and consumed my entire life lol

  • I honestly forgot what the first D was at that moment lol. While I agree it technically can be done pretty badly without distributed attacks. I read in the past couple of years of an approach attackers used was to make an application DOS itself from a single request. I think it required a vulnerability in the application in this instance though.

  • DDOS = denial of service attack. Attacker sends a bunch of requests overloading a service and causing other clients to experience.timeouts due to the service not being.abe.to.handle the load.

  • I did it for remote access to my ARR services. I then found another use where you can set it for matrix server authentication. I also plan to integrate it with forgejo when I get the chance. I keep finding more uses as time goes.

  • Razor phone runs the app. From the article, it fails because Google makes the app run as using play services and Samsung has a whitelist for apps to go the small screen, it can add the shortcut, but since it launches an intent behind play services, that is blocked.

  • In a small town election you may get away without having to do that. I read of a case where someone ran for republican, was unchallenged for republican candidates, then in primaries was voted in because she had an R in front of her name.

  • I mean the opposite has happened. Democrat elected in turned Republican. Unfortunately we elect the person so if they fail their voters like that you have to wait till they screw up or reelection. This might vary by state though, but I think this is also the common logic for it?

    1. It's not just ad blockers that is m issue with this. Read Mozilla's post for a bunch of valid concerns.
    2. If you read my reply there is a comma prior to the just which makes a pause if it makes it better you could read it as [it's] just under... Either way I am not trying to make the wide gape you are referring to, I was simply stating it as a matter of fact more ethical then programming for military use but still unethical.
  • In the context of coding it can be valuable. I produced two tables in a database and asked it to write a query and it did 90% of the job. It was using an incorrect column for a join. If you are doing it for coding you should notice very quickly what is wrong at least if you have experience.

  • Only time I ever did a chargeback like that was from a health app with virtual doctor visit. App was so bad that I wasn't able to communicate with the person due to crashes every time you type a letter and attachments crashing that they left the call. Took like 4 months but my bank sided with me. Fortunately if they ban me from that app I don't think much is lost lol
