  • Ah ok, thank you for that. Yeah, seems like sticking an epi pen in just before boarding might not be the best plan! Cheers 👍

  • Same here. I wonder if an update was rolled out and then withdrawn almost immediately? I don't see any update available in the Play Store.

  • Re epi pens, and apologies if this is a stupid question - could people for whom they help after a reaction potentially use them as a preventative measure? ie use the pen before any reaction takes place, to try and stop one happening at all?

I'm sure the answer is no, or else that would be what people did, but it occurred to me.

  • I'm exactly the same as you, I never got round to it at the time, finally did and couldn't see a problem with it at all tbh.

I thought the final couple of seasons were excellent in fact.

  • Ha, good answer 😁

  • What about those aged 41-60? ;-)

  • Plus, getting it on the record that someone called it in might be important later if things spiral badly. Hopefully calling stops this fire, but if not, maybe it stops the next one.

  • You're right, I've made an utter arse of that, ha ha! I meant to type "honour".

  • I think the difficulty people have is when writing English down. In speech they will generally get this stuff right automatically, but when it's on paper "a history honour" can easily look right even though it's not.

    EDIT - I am dumb.

  • Definitely "a history" for me but someone who drops the h for accent reasons, eg a cockney accent, would likely say "an 'istory".

How they would write it, I'm not sure.

  • Quite a few:

    • Underworld
    • Chemical Brothers
    • Beastie Boys
    • Black Grape
    • Puressence
    • Songhoy Blues
    • Pulp
    • Alabama 3
    • Jim White
    • Portishead
    • Beth Gibbons (of Portishead, but solo)
    • Kog and the Zongo Brigade

    Probably a few others :-)

  • Easy solution for that, you fire the earth portal on a wall inside some sort of specially constructed airlock.

That hard part would be getting the moon portal in a useful place, you'd probably need to go up there and find a good solid cliff face or something. On the plus side having done that you could be home again in a few seconds.

  • What do you regard as "decent"? A million pounds will buy you a lot of very nice houses.

  • It's widely used in Fife and possibly north of that. Don't think it's common in Glasgow or Edinburgh though.

It gives us the saying, "It's a braw, bricht, moonlicht, nicht" :-)

EDIT: Apparently it's from the French, brave, but the Swedish similarity is noted too :-)

  • Re Skitbra, does that mean that "bra" is "good"?

I ask because in parts of Scotland there's the word "braw", which has the same meaning. Wonder if there's a connection there.
