  • That would be a nice "fuck you," but it's probably not worth the extra effort to them.

  • Even that group is a tiny minority. Most buyers are people who just want to play Nintendo games and don't care about anything else.

  • Step 3) US law enforcement and military see civilians with inferior consumer-grade firepower and surrender

  • Science isn't about "why" - it's about "why not?" Why is so much of our science dangerous? Why not marry safe science if you love it so much? In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired! Not you, test subject, you're doing fine. Yes, you. Box. Your stuff. Out the front door. Parking lot. Car. Goodbye.

  • I recently got a Steam Deck after the Switch 2 reveal because Nintendo priced me out, but the vast, vast majority of people aren't like me. The Switch 2 will do fine, but not nearly as well as the Switch 1 due to prices being less accessible. I wonder just how many actual new exclusive games Nintendo is going to be releasing for it - their new releases were pretty sparse on the Switch due to so many ports, and they're already pumping out Switch 1 game upgrades for Switch 2 and marketing them like they're new releases, not to mention it's going to be PS4/PS5 dual releases all over again for a while.

  • Yet Nintendo goes after emulation with the fury of a thousand angry suns. It makes me want to pirate their stuff more out of spite.

  • I always took it to mean "doing the least amount of work possible without getting fired." If someone's making an effort to work the amount they're paid for, I wouldn't consider it quiet quitting.

  • I thought it was awful, but I think he would find it hilarious, too.
