  • PEGI and many other groups are private groups. They're not an authority of any form. They're not associated with government, public regulation, or public election. They're a group of people that create their own standards outside of the ISO or any actual regulation representing the public.

Some countries do have actual public systems, but many just have these private groups that know best.

  • The same Canaanites from Noah's son because after everyone was killed by a flood, God deemed Canaan's blood the good people worth saving?

He sure seemed to fuck it up and have to wipe out humans quite a few times. But that's what you get for putting a tree in Eden for no other reason but to introduce sin to the innocent and trick humans into thinking Lucifer was the evil one.

And now he loves America. Just don't tell the Italians.

Starting to see a pattern of bad outcomes for whoever makes a deal with this guy at the time...

  • A pet store franchise in Australia recently just rebranded themselves at "Pet-O".

With the Australian accent, it's "pedo".

So I wonder things like this got past that many people without someone saying, "Maybe Fat Balls isn't a smart choice."

  • That's such a mix bag. I'm not a cake person myself, but you had me at hummus—I assume random vegies be good. The trick for the toots is water. It all gets in your digestive system, but diluted. You'll still have some gas, but a lot less. Also hydration never killed anyone, despite water poisoning technically being a form of fatality.

You gotta weigh it up; farts or a piss. My personal opinion, probably go with the farts because I don't have to get up.

  • The fuck would I be sticking up for anyone here? I've got no stake in the matter. If I'm sticking up for anything, it's truth. Sorry if you can't holster your guns long enough to get the whole story before they start blazing.

Sorry if that sounds insane to you.

  • I see. The cat's dead before the box has been opened. I should stop weighing up information and fill in the gaps with faith so what I believe becomes real.

The evidence has been removed. There's no evidence of this, but it must be because that's what I want it to be. I helieeeeeve!

  • Oh, yeah. We definitely keep trying to break the cycle, else we'll all be extinguished at some point. It won't be broken in the near future, but over many generations of each doing their part, it will eventually evolve into something better; the old perks of the species no longer relevant or needed, eventually evolved out.

Whether or not we can survive ourselves in the meantime is a whole new hurdle in our path.

  • WW3

I've realised, over time, that we got to be species number 1 through near statistically impossible odds that is only achievable by being the most brutally effective in the game of evolution.

And millions of years of nature doesn't just go away when you're declared the winner. It is in our nature to dominate through all means possible, else we wouldn't be here. It's not so much that we want war, we need it; our nature is founded on it. When there is nothing left on the planet to defeat, we turn on ourselves to scratch the itch.

The catch is the other half of our nature is focused on domination of the species. We protect each other for the greater good as much as we kill for the greater good. That's our human nature; that's how we got here. So after a war we feel awful and promise to never do it again, but then the itch of being number 1 reappears and there's nothing else to scratch it with because we conquered everything else.

Our known history affirms that the end-game of evolution is a never ending cycle of masturbating to awful shit, feeling ashamed, and just doing it again once the shame is overridden by the urge. "Never again" we say, every fucking time.

Edit: That's why I also love the self-proclaimed "lefties" camp always misappropriating the philosophical Paradox of Tolerance on here—like it's not misappropriately used by the other camps. Ironically all just proving the paradox true. Camp vs camp. Tribe vs tribe. The itches and scratches, Oblivious to human nature doing as it does best. To progress is to win by all means possible. This is our way.

Edit Edit: And no I'm not picking on you kids specifically. Look at Tall Poppy Syndrome, Soapboxes, why communism never works, why capitalism never works; all the other ideologies we think up to break the cycle and try fast forward our evolution in vain. They all end with with someone or something taking power for a brief moment, before they're targetted to be cut down by the nature of others trying to instill their idea, how they want it, how they insist all others will want and should have it. Power.

  • This whole thing has been excellent for countries with public healthcare systems under threat of the private sector trying to crack the armour. It sends a message to political careers, when the centre of the world's capitalism clearly hates their current setup. It underscores to the most selfish of politicians that public support is more valuable than whatever form of "lobbying" deal a private company may bring to the table they don't fundamentally belong at.

  • Now it's still all WW2 revisited with "never before seen" enhanced footage, usually centred around Hitler. Clone, clone, clone.

I'd like to see them challenge themselves to have to actually dig up some info for once.

  • There needs to be a term for someone that ignores everything like a sieve, but manages to catch the smallest of morsels off which to launch a fallacious diatribe, as though nothing else happened.

They're not.a.troll; they're something quite different. A mix of insecurity, hyperfocusing, a tendency to exercise many argument fallacies, a resolve that can deny itself, no clear purpose in its behaviour beyond either "winning" or perhaps just seeking social interaction.

I'd go with "Teflon" because nothing sticks, but it doesn't cover their wannabe polemicist nature.

  • And that's how disinformation killed the Information Age.

Edit: Come on. You lot shouldn't need my help finding a verifiable source yourselves. If there's so many articles on it, I'm sure you can find at least one verifying the source without my help. Or you can subscribe to an ad populum fallacy and believe a mass of articles presenting no actual evidence. You'll find the answers to the questions you ask me with your own initiative. I believe in you!
