My cousin bought a whole video store back in 2019 for practically nothing, he still has thousands and thousands of VHS and DVD, he's still waiting for the big revival. I helped him last year to get rid of many cubic feet of porn stuff, though. His kids discovered it & for some reason his wife insisted.
Right. And they actually do it. Another thing: there's a list here von "Verbraucherschutz" (consumer protection) that lists all products that have less than before in it to the same price, of course it's on the package, but most people don't pay attention to it. A big problem - for ages now - is, that young men just don't have fathers. There's a male around, often, but these are rarely "fathers" that convey a whole picture of a male person. I grew up without one, and I can tell you, how confusing that can be. You attach yourself very easily to ideas other male persons have. Thinking for yourself is another skill that's kinda rare, not only today, it was at any time. It's hard to navigate these years.
My Ma got me in her mid 40s (that was late back in the day, imagine this), that's no joke. Oh, the teenage battles. Today she's almost 90 and we get along brilliantly.
Oh, it does! Tried it, once, very drunk, many years ago (many!), screamed something like "in your face" (actually German: "in die Fresse") and he was out cold. Only medium knuckle pain, I'm not a fighter, so I thought it did something. Don't worry, he earned it, believe you me.
Wood. I fancy myself a carpenter, and I'm officially allowed to, that was the trade I originally learned - and never worked an hour later as one. But when my house would burn, I'd rescue my Japanese tools first. Then my family. Don't tell them...
