Almost certainly World of Warcraft. I don't think I even liked it for most of the time I spent playing it. I've been annoyed about the overall direction since basically Cataclysm, and IMO Burning Crusade laid the foundations for most of my major complaints, although I didn't realize it at the time. I have decided that I'm opposed to the "expansions add a new tier of everything that invalidates old content" model of expanding games. If creating diverse content that is still enjoyable at level 60 is too hard, then maybe games just don't need to be expanded indefinitely past their original level caps.
Probably not because discoverability of Mastodon content from Lemmy is not very good; kbin supports it better. I have managed to view a Mastodon user profile from a lemmy instance by searching for it, but I wasn't able to find a good way to see their posts.
The fediverse includes all services that implement the ActivityPub protocol, which includes the reddit-like "threadiverse" but also Twitter-like services (like Mastodon), Instagram-like Pixelfed, and others.
The one with the kid in detention is Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. It's the sequel (in gameplay style) to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, but it was shortened to "A2" because it didn't actually come out on the GBA.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divided can be played as stealth games, and I really liked them. Note that they aren't "pure" stealth games, there are some encounters where you cannot avoid fighting.
Also DE:MD kind of ends in the middle, so if you are a story player you will be frustrated to know that there seem to be no plans for the next sequel.
This isn't just social media. Most of my coworkers at my last job were like this any time I sent them a message with more than one piece of information in it. I swear screens break some people's reading ability.
This is just not actually true, though? I do remember my past coworkers and who was working late and checking emails on weekends. I'm not saying they should have been, but I for sure remember them doing it.
For the better part of the 21st century, the country has suffered from an ambient rage that remains partially inexplicable and knows no racial boundary.
Inexplicable? Inexplicable‽ Has this writer looked around in the 21st century?
I would assume that almost all clicks are from people on the mobile app accidentally tapping ads while they try to scroll past them, because they're in the main feed. So click quality being garbage doesn't surprise me.
"Why are people pissed" and "why are people surprised" are very different questions! I've been expecting reddit to give me a reason to leave the platform for years. That doesn't mean I'm not pissed, because it didn't have to be this way. If reddit wanted to start charging for API access, they could have handled it less shittily by giving more warning and negotiating a reasonable pricing model. If they really just wanted to get rid of third party apps, they could have started by making the official app better so that they aren't just killing functionality for users.
It's not surprising to me that they didn't decide to do either of those things, because for some reason companies don't seem to think that public goodwill is worth anything, so they're always happy to throw it out if there's even a chance it could save them a couple bucks. But that is, itself, a reason to be pissed off! Without users, the site is worthless, but they show how low their opinion of us really is when they act like we won't leave if they treat us badly.
