  • We really can't rely on things like net neutrality to flip flop every new administration (assuming the high likelihood of each new administration appointing their own commissioner).

We would need legislation to solidify net neutrality.

  • I'm positive this is AI generated. I can't believe 9 to 5 Google fell for this.

The 'bump' has a shadow in the two straight-on photos, but the side view shows no height.

The hands holding the phone give it away, too. The fingertips look softened from a filter and don't have any sign of fingerprint ridges while the palm is much more detailed.

They also look too sharp in contrast to the background.

EDIT: The more I look the more I'm convinced. The side photo and the angled photo are completely different in size relative to the hand. The thickness of the palm is much too large, as well.

  • Isn't this known, though?

All their talk about repairability is just marketing speak to make it sound like they're doing it.

And just like USB-C, they'll only do it when forced yet act like they did it on their own accord and that it was for the environment and not that they had to.

Besides, even if they wanted to start making their devices more repairable, it might take a generation before we see significant changes. Tooling, manufacturing, and supply chains take time to set up with new changes.

  • I'm really liking the pace of patch releases. The game was pretty solid on release already, and these are minor tweaks and smaller bugs being taken care of.

Just really nice to see instead of the constant push of releasing games long before they should, and having paying customers deal with massive bugs that show the game wasn't ready for release.

  • Shelly makes smart bulbs. They can be used only locally if you want or connect to homeassistant.

I have some Shelly plugs and they're great. If I ever buy a house, I plan to populate it with Shelly devices. I do want to try out Zigbee, but I don't have a need yet as I rent right now.

  • I didn't mention what type of printer to get. If your particular situation makes getting a printer not viable, then don't get a printer. I was just asking to see if I, or someone else, could help.

  • $2 Billion to go 20mph faster than before? I mean, progress is progress but honestly this is pathetic.

It's also only 297miles and 4.5 hours via car.

Not gonna get people to take the train if, even with this ($2B) speed increase, it still is losing to a car.

If the train makes that trip in three hours, you'll get converts.
