I remember a 42" plasma TV that cost $12,000 at Best Buy.

But if you're paying McDonald's prices you're STILL paying way too much for "fast food".

I thought it was just one franchisre and even they were saying they didn't actually approve it.

Yeah, the gouging has been my main reasreason for cutting back spending on food items.

In McDonald's case, I used to get stuff from there more when they had stuff that was at least trying to be healthy, like some of their salads and wraps.

Now it's $10 for a shitty 2-cheeseburger meal with shitty fries and shitty service. And they don't have much else.

Stop allowing it to be normalized or desensitized. It should be outrageous every.single.time.

Also the evidence shows this isn't really true, anyway.

I'm having a tough time believing they said Obama instead of Biden. They moved on to blaming Biden for everything as groupthink a while ago.

I find it hard to believe because I work at an adjacent company who has made similar claims and it is complete bullshit.

I do think there is some about of "AI provided a smart complete and the developer hit 'tab' to take the changes" equalling "this code was written by AI" in some metrics that go to the execs. And since the execs mandated high AI use everyone is fine just saying they have high AI use regardless of how true it is.
