  • Shut the fuck up with that.

Networks and even shows aren't a giant monolith.

This is a good, ballsy move by actual journalists that is going to upset a lot of people and get a lot of pushbavk, even from within.

This should be getting acclaim, not...whatever lazy defeatest response this is.

  • Including all the "I won't vote for genocide!" enablers here.

  • Nno, the president of the USA doesn't understand the absolute core of American values. The most basic principles. He's probably never even heard of them.

At least the ones that we used to have.

    Some still do.

Others understand them but are willing to throw them away because they think this is all a game, and have forgotten what having values even means.

  • It was like that a quarter century ago.

  • Maybe it's just a tiny tiny birb

  • the better paid a job is, the less work is needed and less professionalism is expected.

This is a pretty lazy, crappy comment. Senators aren't even paid that much in the scheme of things - typically not more (or much more) than the professions I mentioned.

They might end up making a LOT more, but that's usually bribes and corruption, which is a pretty different thing.

  • Wait, you're saying that, say, lawyer or doctor or engineer requires less work and professionalism than a walmart warehouse or McDonald's fry cook?

  • I mean, it's true to an extent. I'm sure some people might read too much into it, but she threw out a bunch of significant criticisms of current policy which is super unlike her or almost anyone in her sycophantic party.

Her positions more or less all suck, but the fact that she's being so critical is...unexpected.

  • Yeah those early ones - and the one I'm thinking of was like the first big-screen flatpanel they sold, sometime in the late 90s - were extra extra bad about power.

  • In theory, it would allow them to reduce costs to compete better with rivals and sell more.

But usually it's the thing you said. Capitalism fundamentals are pretty broken in most markets.

  • It's your problem now. This is the kind of thing that happens.

  • Eh, I find Emby pretty close to on-par at this point.

  • I'm also not particularly happy with giving a bunch of people VPB access to my setup. Or other potential complications that come with that setup.

I know enough to be able to lock it down, but I dont want the hassle. And other people will want it less.

  • I'm pretty happy with Emby, which also lets me easily do remote streaming.

  • I assume they replied to you after someone downvoted you but before all the upvotes.

  • And how are you doing remote streaming from friends with Jellyfin?
