  • This. The US has one of the biggest expenditures on healthcare on the country level and at the same time it's one of the most expensive for the consumer.

Meaning someone's packing really big on this and people with that much money tend to be powerful, rich and psychopaths.

  • I noticed, but many people mention that 17 and 19 or 20 are illegal and no one is gonna convince me it's not bonkers.

  • No idea if/how this applies in other countries.

Most of Europe has consent age in the range 14-16. I think Cyprus is the outlier with 17. Most don't have the equivalent of "Romeo and Juliet laws".

  • That sounds really crazy. You can have sex at 15 where I live and that feels much saner.

  • Well, it's still a hack, not something officially supported, I wouldn't really consider them DRM-free when you still need Steam to run the game officially.

I'm not ruling out Steam either, they've done a lot of good for gaming and I buy games there if I really want them and there's close to no chance they're coming to GOG (like the recent Dragon Age), but more and more often I decide that I don't actually want that game that much.

  • Indeed, there are many tools to do that, one of them of my own making: https://github.com/RikudouSage/GogDownloader

But even if you don't back them up, at least you signal that DRM-free is important to you by buying there.

  • For games, always buy from GOG if you can. Unless it's a game I really want I only buy from GOG.

  • Nah, hell is pretty great for controlling masses if you manage to make them believe.

Basically "you're all going to hell, but if you follow my lead, I have this one neat trick that all devils hate".

  • I mean, it's the same, except you don't get a total number across all your posts.

The hive mind is here as well.

  • Yeah, Excel does that, it always fascinated me. It was so weird writing =KDYŽ instead of =IF in Excel. Different times, I guess.

  • I mean, why not? I know a few lawyers and they're as stupid as everyone, I haven't noticed any significant difference to any other group of people.

  • You are "being yourself" as long as what you do is what you want to do.

If you want to start flirting because you think you'd feel better, then it's you being yourself.

If you do it because you think peers/society/whoever wants you to be like that, you're not being yourself.

  • Obvious misinformation doesn't sound the same as a nonsense.

  • Didn't seem that bad to me (though I've definitely read books with better flow), I had that exact same thing with Game of Thrones.

  • Can't wait! I'm really glad I discovered it through the show, now on book 10 and on one hand I can't wait till I finish and at the same time I'm dreading it.

  • I've opened infinity on my phone if Firefox is to be trusted.
