The spam is intentionally very bad. The first contact is very cheap, while scamming the person requires effort. They're not targeting smart people. They're not targeting average people. They're targeting people who will fall for obviously bad spam. Those are worth the (costly) effort that starts at phase 2 and requires more attention.
Sure, the Fediverse is not Lemmy. But I'm using Lemmy. I also use Mastodon. Both are vastly different experiences despite being based on the same protocol.
Shameless plug: I made an OpenSCAD calendar that uses some clever algorithms to automatically determine the correct day of the week no matter what year you set.
Build a simple house model! Make it configurable using customiser, it's pretty cool watching it rerender itself. Or make a LEGO brick, also a fun exercise.
Some of the things I made with it:
the iconic "days without accidents" plate with changeable numbers
an iPhone stand with slope customizable in the customiser
a simple toy bed
a keychain of the Lemmy logo
a custom phone case
a configurable task list with sliders
a calendar that automatically calculates the correct day of week, meaning no matter what year you set in the customiser, the days are always correct
Well, they're basically an entirely different meal, that probably shares name only for historical reasons.
The Czech version doesn't contain much vegetables, is a thick paprika-based sauce and has onions. Hungarian is more soup-like in consistency and has some vegetables. The Czech one also has dumplings as a side dish.
The Czech one is slow-cooked until the meat is tender, easily taking many hours to cook if you use beef (as is the tradition, but many people use pork because it's cheaper). Beer is sometimes added for flavour.
This week I've been doing some work on my GOG Downloader to finally back up all my GOG stuff when I buy new disks, that's pretty much it for my selfhost/homeserver stuff this week.
All manufacturers do it. Of course, not all of them report to China specifically.
If you want to be safe, you could use a phone like Xperia with Sailfish OS (though beware it's not Android and it's less user friendly), Pixel with a Graphene OS or something that supports Lineage OS.
Ah, beans, long time no see here on Lemmy.
