Ya I would really like to see the footage. From the description the article, it seems pretty hard to say it was purely an accident.

I've seen this mute mentioned, but never had it work. Is it for real? Every place has these ads now 😐 I don't get fuel on my personal vehicle very much much but I drove a lot for work and it is awful.

One more argument to have protected classes.

I tried this for the same reasons about ten years ago (college, free, etc) and found it to be essentially an insurmountable challenge. It's a bummer since they support Linux in other ways.

Indeed it is! I apologize for leaving this out, it is just the first of the four short stories; The Langoliers. Much shorter!

Not reallly and answer, but there is a Stephen King short story and movie where a plane goes thru a time warp, and only the people who are asleep survive. The other people are gone entirely, except for the metal things they were wearing or had in them.

This is partly why I am almost middle age and working seasonally. It's more like 10 weeks off but I haven't worked full time year round since 2009 and it is really nice. My time off is in the winter tho.

There was a class I took in college where we would read a book and discuss it at length. The problem (for me) was that we would read an assigned part, and discuss that part, each week. I, however, read the whole book almost immediately and tried to skim relevant sections prior to class. This caught up to me when we were talking about something, and I mentioned an event that would happen very soon to a main character, but hadn't happened yet. It was an incredibly important event. I really regretted it and the teacher's face was very mixed.

My apologies, I mean a terrible way for Epic to end their ownership. I hope that Bandcamp will continue and thrive but this move doesn't seem encouraging. Songtradr is monopolizing music at this point.

I don't remember the price, and Mom almost certainly paid for it, but Faxanadu. First game I ever beat, got an emulator and sought it out on a rom when those came out, and most recently played it at an arcade that had a bunch of older games loaded onto a "TV" with real controllers. Hadn't used that kind of controller for a long time.
