  • I think l so, the two people making it referred to "vital wheat gluten" and it was the primary ingredient by far. There were other ingredients, too. I think they used some nooch and tamari. Unsure on seasoning.

  • Indeed. I used to have friends who would make tempeh but I don't remember ever having theirs and it is more available anyway.

  • I don't know if you are looking for meat analogues, but I got to eat hand made seitan once. Really great texture. It isn't something I see anywhere in places I tend to be so it was exotic to me. It was pretty labor intensitto make, I thought. It took a lot of water!

  • Ya I am definitely odd with that. My mom was a professional singer when I was a child, and so I grew up with her singing in the house. A lot haha. I don't know if that is why. Also, many (not all) things on that label are older/reissues, so not something you could see live probably.

  • Well I just listened to a fair bit of Fleshvessel, amazing. Lots of different instrumentation and soundscapes there. I guess I have a new 'metal' band to get into!

A label I have listened to artists from is Cuneiform Records. Not the same genre outright, but similarly hard to classify groups. Not much singing.

  • Omg the album artwork on that label is incredible, thanks for sharing!

  • I use Bandcamp a lot, also, and have had some luck by checking out the label a band is associated with. Not all the artists I listen to have one, but I have found some neat music that way. Or people like you who have posted a playlist haha.

  • This is an interesting point, and I am convinced that if there becomes an effective way of "addressing" it then all the folks saying something about "nobody makes good music anymore" will find out what they are missing.

  • Four departments are covered thru Jan 19, and the rest are covered thru 2 Feb. As for which four departments, I have seen a number listed in various places, all third party posts, but nothing official.

  • I agree mostly. Part of what I meant was that those networks will never sit such material, so it won't get to the viewers, but if they did for some reason, some viewers may believe it because it came from a trusted source. But it will likely never sit on those networks, those viewers will never see it, and as you say, they will continue to behave poorly.

  • One of the craziest interactions I have seen was when a Peregrine Falcon attacked a Canada Goose in flight. We were watching the goose fly up canyon and the peregrine must have thought it was too close to its nest or something. Only time I've heard a goose make a sound like that!!

  • Judging by what I hear from the Republican-voting folks around me, unless this airs on Newsmax or OAN (etc) the people who need to see it, won't.

  • You seared the potatoes before baking? They look amazing, I will try this, thank you!

    The tartar looks great, also.

  • Is this a Mitch Hedberg joke???

  • I just took a quick look at All Sides. How does it compare to Media Bias/Fact Check? I don't know how to "fact check" either one of these sources but that's what I have to do so.

Thanks for sharing All Sides, it is new to me.

  • I don't know if this is unpopular or not, but I really don't like hearing about folks' medical history. Like yes, I know you have anxiety/diabetes/whatever because you tell me every single time I see you. I, too, have a condition that requires me to take multiple pills everyday for my whole life, but you'd never know it bc I don't make it my identity. I'd rather not, and I'd rather not others who aren't facing death do it. On some cases I guess it speaks to the status of mental health care in my country since it almost seems like a cry for help that I just cannot answer.

  • Republicans are not looking to stay relevant thru democracy, as indicated by their actions in your example of Ohio (for example). This is how they will stay "relevant."
