  • delivery drivers lie all the time. when I was still in a row house, I watched the amazon guy from my window take the same package from door to door, put it down, take a picture, then pick it right back up and take it to the next stop where he did the same thing.

  • remember on election night in 2016 when HRC was doing a preemptive victory lap in BlUe TeXaS while PA, OH, MI and all of the other "firewall states" that were supposed to guarantee her an easy win turned red? Let's not go looking for treasure up our own assholes and instead let's ensure that the easy wins actually happen.

  • if you can take something I own from me without compensating me, I can take something you own from you without compensating you. piracy is a moral imperative in order to preserve art.

  • Out of nowhere starting yesterday my YouTube feed is filled with random, super small channels all pushing video about "Tucker Carlson and Vladimir Putin dropping truth bombs that own Biden and the libs". There's a lot of money behind this vanity campaign, and there will be an attempt to shape the national dialogue.

  • I keep hearing this, but someone has to be making money on corn or there wouldn't be corn. My guess is that the margin is so thin that the only way to put any appreciable amount of money away to get you through a market dip is to do tremendous volume, which would cause the industry to tend to push out small farmers, which kicks off a feedback loop because the big conglomerates are even bigger and can take even longer bad times, so they can snap up even more failed small farmers, etc etc ad nauseaum.

  • what no they're dumb as hell. their justification was "I don't want another politician".

thing is, they're also frustrated and afraid and in that they're absolutely correct. no matter what you believe the causes and solutions are, people are noticing that they're working harder, paying more and in a much more precarious position for it than the generations before them. part of the reason that fascism is doing so well is that the people getting fucked know they need a change, and fascism is the change that the ruling class won't oppose so they actually feel like they can get it. they're not gonna love it when society runs out of queers and foreigners to destroy and they end up being the enemy of the week instead, but for right now all they can see is the walls of the current system closing in on them. in that situation, one where inaction is going to mean immediate destruction, a course shift into trumpism is a way of staying alive today and hoping you can figure out a way to unfuck things later.
