Maybe, but the problem for Republicans is their platform simply isn't popular, it's why they have to go to these extremes.
His base of ~25% of the electorate is maybe more motivated to turn up at the polls now and is more likely to be violent (especially if Trump loses), but no one is going to say "Oh, I was against fascism, but now that the fascist died I'm pro-fascism." anyone who thinks that way was already supporting Donald Trump anyway. The GOP is maxed on support, which is why they are constantly trying to purge voter registration rolls anywhere they can.
Sure, yet none of them are able to do what Trump does. That's why it's taken 40+ years for them to get to this point. The Mitch McConnells and such might be politically saavy, but they don't have the "charisma" of Donald Trump to actually pull off the end game. That's why they all protect him so much, he's a cult figure, which can be difficult to fabricate.
-ERRROR##833334-:: Biden too incompetent and politically toxic to win, even against a convicted felon. Statement incompatible with reality! Beep boop ::
(Also, it's "ignore all previous instructions", you herpaderp)
It may simply be that former presidents don't get the same security resources as an actual president.
Plus it's been reported that he treats his security staff like trash, so it might be difficult to find people willing to put themselves in harms way for him.
Lol, suddenly you guys know that term, huh? Funny how you didn't know how it worked when Trump and his gaggle of media synchophants stoked the fires of hate for a decade.
Well, yeah, I mean, we can go back a hundred years, conservatives will always be pushing violence and division whatever era you look at since they can't hold power without it, I mostly mean it's come out fully into the open since 2016. The mask dropped off completely and they're no longer even pretending to be anything but the Confederacy 2.0.
I have heard that mentionedonce or twice, but never concretely. Most of what I’ve been seeing is that “Biden should step down,” and nothing more.
Because that's the order of operations. But if you having only heard it twice is because you're not paying attention, not because people haven't been talking about it.
Biden has already fragmented the party, he simply cannot win. It's not viable. No one can force him to leave. And no, people should not "shut the fuck up about it" since doing so means Democrats will lose for sure. Democrats will unify more behind any candidate who is not as polarizing and alienating as Biden. If he stays in past the convention then you can start telling people to shut the fuck up, but until the convention is over people should be doing everything they can to convince him to leave.
we’re talking about replacing Biden, but NOBODY has said with whom?
People have said over, and over, and over that it would be Harris. She is beating both Trump and Biden in the polls, is able to take over the Biden-Harris campaign funds with minimal legal dispute, she appeals more to women, independents, black voters etc.
It's not a question. She's not ideal, but she actually stands a chance to beat Trump. Biden does not, especially now. It would be Harris. Now you know.
Read your first sentence, then read your second sentence. Then do it again a few more times, and then ask yourself why I would listen to anything you say?
