I use infuse for local streaming to the ApleTV from my Jellyfin server. It works well but you have to subscribe to get the good features
With some sensors and home assistant, you could auto distribute stickers when the dog gets fed, teeth are brushed, various other things… I agree, the physical part probably is more rewarding for the kids but misses out on statistics and scope creep and all the fun stuff for you. You deserve a reward for being a good parent, and teaching your children responsibility!
