  • This is just my opinion, but I do not believe those people most of us associate with chrisofascism are Christian at all.

Again, just my opinion, none of these politicians or people screaming about their faith no anything about Christianity. Or are not at all followers of it.

  • That makes more sense to me. I would worry that it takes away a small group of people in an already limited avenues situation.

I don't know how to do both. Giving a young person counsel to tell their family would be of great help. Maybe that could be a compromise? If I did something to make my son feel scared (again, I'd be mortified of that because of would feel like a major failure), I would be ok if the school was providing the assistance to help, maybe with the worst thing being they have to mention it eventually?

  • I don't disagree, but in my lifetime, we've been in much better shape in the past and still been unwilling to break away from the status quo.

Now that the situation is much more dire, it's even more frustrating that we lacked the will or desires that could potentially have lessened the chances of this outcome.

I try convincing the less diehard devotees to switch and they're still hung up on the aspects of the other party they disagree with.

  • I hear what you're saying.

My personal desire to have a school tell me what they know isn't based on a lack of empathy.

  • Where did you get strong opinions?

Your football comment make me think you dont know most of the world loves ⚽

    You probably mean 🏈?

    Are ⚽🏈 people dumb?

  • Automation and driving

People are really apprehensive of that still. I agree, but we're going to need more people becoming accepting.

I'm not arguing with the job shortage. I just can't get my head around the migration.

There were always people filling lower paying job (I'm not advocating for less than deserving compensation). Now there isn't?

Maybe the same jobs exist, but new higher paying jobs have appeared that weren't around before (new technology, more corporate,.etc), so people just skilled up, moved up, and left the lower jobs vacant?

I think most developed countries where this happens just replace these less desirable jobs with immigration (not advocating for an idea of a lesser population)?

Maybe there's not as much immigration in some of these places?

  • I wasn't worried about him over throwing the constitution, that's for sure. Maybe having health issues...

Edit, not sure why someone feels the need to down vote your answer, it wasn't an inflammatory comment 🤷

  • They arent. I'm not saying gender identity is self harm. That's why I mentioned your quote.

It point is regarding being selective about what is required to report and not. I dont feel comfortable with the school deciding which major concern to report or not.

Edit, not sure how I see you drawing that conclusion. I used the word stigma because of what people can go through.

  • I feel what you're saying.

This is weird, but I miss Bush and the Az senator who reminded me of a wax museum statue. He was a war vet, but also ancient. At least their faults in my mind were lesser then the blatant issues now. I never thought the US was seriously at risk, just another shitty couple years. I used to think that about all of them.

    Now I'm worried...

  • I agree.

How did we run honest new agencies before greed (if such a time exists)?

News probably needs to be except from greed influence, but I am not savvy enough to imagine that business model unless people are willing to subscribe, and the org never goes public.

  • Damn! That would be epic and well played for sure. Not advocating.

  • It's not terribly different from law enforcement getting a search warrant for a video feed covering the apartment of a known pedo video distributor and then tracking down everyone.

The problem would be violation of privacy for everyone who went there who wasn't a pedo.

Obviously, that's not a perfect comparison for the Internet because it's acceptable from anyone, but they're following the same playbook.

How much privacy are you willing to trade to stop pedos from hurting kids?

Edit: in thinking about this, the save the kids stuff has been worn out by a certain group that even I'm tired of. I didn't really think about that when I came up with the example, not that I expect it would matter to people's personal feelings on the matter.

  • I agree with you. I would be very upset if my public school didn't report major changes to me.

I would also feel like a failure of having open communication with my son if I didn't know something like that and he wasn't confident in telling me or didn't feel safe and loved.

If he was cutting himself and they didn't tell me, I could attempt to press charges. I know people will not view self harm and identity the same thought because of sigma.

I wish we could create an environment where there's no need to protect a kid's identity issues because of ridicule and torment. There's failures all around here.

  • We need to stop being afraid of electing third or independent party candidates because the other side might win.

We will keep losing in the end no matter what if we don't fight for a new political system. Most people agree this isn't working.

Can we stop urging people to vote for a D/R and focus on independent?

  • Any chance this is a result of a few decades of consolidation of power, corporate ownership and influence, and partisan political views killing people's trust in the news?

How do you reverse all that?

  • People know that these companies make money by doing the opposite of environmental needs right?

The only way th se companies support the goals is to either drastically change their business model, or stop existing...

  • I didn't see pay listed in the article.

How else do we explain worker shortage? Where did all the people go? Rapture?

On the other side, what better way for a social worker to see real issues and people while studying?

It has to pay well enough for students to be willing to distract from studying.

  • mentioned penny exhibit

Wow, that's a good one, thanks for the mention.

  • I do agree both things are wrong. Meaning discrimination.

I think one person's art in this case might be described as another person's stunt.

Edit, as for whether it's beneficial, not sure. I guess we'll see.

I'll edit this, I can't read the other stuff on the mobile version while responding.

Edit, I mentioned that because the whole place was male only until '65. I don't think there was that much outcry? (It didn't look it up, I assume that poster did).

It would be now in 2024 though.
