Saying "they" vs "we" would make me think he means a group he isn't a part of. Now what that group is could be debated, could even be as broad as white people or foreigners or friends/people close to you. Hard to know without context, but the fake friends hashtag does somewhat allude to being back stabbed by people close to you (though one could apply the term friends to any group too).
I think his excuse makes sense, but I also understand how people could easily jump to assuming Jews (I'll admit that would be my first gut reaction)
If the IRS is being told by a person's work how much they're paid, by their bank how much interest they got, by any Etsy-esque services how much they were paid... then the IRS has every bit of information it needs to get automatic withholding correct.
Unless you just want to just keep withholding on the marginal tax rate a person is currently in, thus starting your withholding super low in the start of the year and increasing it throughout the year so that come December they have way more withheld per paycheck than in January, it's not simple.
Future income is unknown, you could maybe design a system a system that assumes you will adjust your withholding amounts especially in the last quarter of the year to either catch up or slow down with holdings to try to best get you close to zero by the end of the year, but even then to be dead on still is a wild bar to clear as that requires that last source of income to know it's the last income for the year.
I'd argue they get pretty close for most people right now if they have everything setup properly.
And even if credits get reported unless they are reported at the beginning of the year pay check with holding couldn't be changed.
But yes just sort of auto generating a return with either a refund or bill that someone could choose to dispute or accept would be much easier of a task and I think a reasonable ask.
It's tricky to take out the right amount even with just the standard deduction because of how tax brackets work, as they need to know all the income you have earned for the year up until that point along with any taxes paid in (all jobs, interest on a bank account, etc) and then they need to know how much money one will make in the current year (will they get a pay bump, put in some over time, take unpaid time off?). Or if you are going to have a kid or get married that year.
There are also credits that can be taken with the standard deduction like for tuition or say an EV purchase.
This was kind of my thought, this is a rather complex task that I'm not clear what even a "good" outcome would look like especially given the first photo was a pretty good photo. Should it just color correct and sharpen it? Should it change the background? Should it position your head?
I'm curious what it would do if you just fed it already good professional photos of white people, would it just spit back the same image?
Like there has to be a cap on how much it will change so it still looks like you, in which case I assume you'd need to feed it multiple images to get a good result.
Man either the guy really thought he was going to beat this or he just needed a reason to hang on:
"...he recently penned the first draft of his upcoming memoir. He had also put the finishing touches on two more Pee-wee movie scripts and was developing projects for television, including a variety show and a western called Fancypants."
It'll be a much smaller solid state battery in a hybrid, they wouldn't put enough batteries in it to hit 745 miles. I assume they would use at most 10% of the cells a 745mile vehicle would need and it could be under 5% of the cells needed.
the first vehicles with this battery are expected to be hybrids instead of all-electric vehicles. Toyota claims it will be ready for sale in 2027 or 2028.
This tells me we probably need to wait until 2030+ for this supposed 745mile battery.
Hopefully this gets wide adoption, I'm ready for a next gen image format and this seems like a great choice (even if there is something ironic about calling a compression technology "XL")
Yeah love my Dell monitors, I've had 3 UltraSharps and currently have a UP3017 and it's great.
I really want something that is ~200PPI and has an IPS Black panel as my next monitor and it needs to have a built in KVM and adjustable stand. (120hz would be nice too, but idk how possible that is at such a resolution). So I'll just keep using this monitor until something finally comes along, it's crazy how long it's taken for "retina" monitors to become widespread.
Make it all out of whatever offshore windmills are made of (ok I say this half jokingly because I honestly have no knowledge in this area)
