  • Some of the specs I was reading from those particular complaints had 13600 Intel CPU's or Ryzen 7600 and up. I can't imagine those are CPU bound at 1080p. There might be some differences at that resolution, but they should be able to hit 60FPS at 1080p low.

  • Good to hear. From what I've been reading, there are a lot of users (maybe just a vocal minority?) with 2000 and 3000 series cards that are performing poorly with the same GPU at 1440p high and at 1080p low settings. The graphical settings don't seem to affect performance for those users.

  • Because everyone can run out and get a 4x because of Starfield. What a chode lol

When did I ever suggest anyone "run out. and get a 4x"? Don't upgrade your GPU (assuming it's within the specified requirements), wait for patches, drivers, and the inevitable community patch.

  • While the frame rate I've been getting is not at all consistent, I do get 45-90 fps, which is quite playable with Freesync. Running 3840x1600 w/5800X3D and 6700XT. Not too crazy of a system. From my understanding, it's the 2000 and 3000 series Nvidia cards mainly having issues.

  • Age limit tied to Social Security retirement age and joining the military, voting, smoking, and drinking tied to the same age (18 or 21, take your pick). We either need to say people are of the appropriate age to do these things, or not. This cherry-picking bullshit has to go. Also, term limits. The constitution wasn't meant for a congressperson or senator to be in the same seat for 40+ years.

  • I cannot believe that in the year 2023 people were still paying for a Google service that was supposed to last beyond 30 days. Especially one that was supposed to have a long-term reward. You would have to have so much blind trust in Google at that point.

EDIT: I now understand that this was a a two-year installment plan for the existing phone. That being said, I still don't think anyone should buy into Google products or services expecting them to have long-term support. Google has shown time and time again that they are willing to kill any and all projects at any time with almost no warning.

  • I'm not currently subscribed, but if they don't have an option to disable this I will never subscribe again. For that matter, any streaming service that doesn't allow me to watch a movie/show uninterrupted from beginning to end is a showstopper for me. I can only imagine what streaming services will start doing if they are okay with adding a banner or cutting a stream for news. Ads will be right behind it.

  • In my case, a couple of friends could put down two 30-racks of light beer in about 10 hours. You're right, that is a ton of liquid, so I don't think they could drink it faster than that if they wanted to. Alcohol-wise, 20+ drinks of liquor in a night is completely possible. College weekend binge drinking is a crazy thing.

  • People are starting to experience a real change right now. Those that are paying attention are trying to avoid Meta, X, formerly known as Twitter, Instagram, and a bunch of other partisan bs. The near-future will be interesting.

  • Only because no one has said it yet, headphones. You can get a really great set of headphones for $200 or so, but if you want it to sound a little better you're looking at $500-$700. But music can sound a bit better if you get better equipment for around $1200. Then you hear a $2000 set-up, and you chase that, until you hear a $5000 kit. And it just keeps going.
