not specifically scientific intelligence, but more so trusting the scientific process that has been developed over centuries, and not refuting all scientific claims that conflict with specific political motives (i.e: believing that climate change is real and heavily influenced by humans and that we should stop polluting == woke. not believing in climate change because Big Oil lobbies ethically compromised politicians that then tell their constituents that climate change is a hoax; being one of those easily manipulated people == anti woke)
without the technology involved though
(from a Big Tech company), the reach of the propaganda would be much lower.
Why would propaganda to convince people that a genocide is acceptable be considered just politics? Shit like this falls into many buckets because it’s important to spread awareness across as many communities as possible. Who knows, if hundreds of millions more people knew what the nazis were doing in the 30s, maybe it would’ve been stopped earlier
my wife kept getting pressured to go into a specific office location every week. 2-3 hour commute each way to sit at a desk on video calls with little IRL interaction
Love this! The hourly wage for economic impact is def not correct though. Anyone that’s undocumented is likely being taken advantage of by their employers when they get paid under the table. I doubt many are making 17/hr
i don’t trust IceBlock. they don’t allow you to use the app at all without sharing your live location. it’s true iOS has better security and privacy, but whatever information any app collects from its users (like location data) will be sent to their own servers and cannot be confirmed by apple what they do with that data you willfully provided them
amerika is such a disgusting nation, with a history of doing this in many different ways since it was founded. kill and drive out all locals and claim the land as their own. bringing “democracy” to war torn areas. you know why it’s war torn? CAUSE THE US MADE IT WAR TORN
that’s not the point i was addressing in my comment though, i agree processed foods a very bad. and poorer people are more likely to eat them. there’s no debate there from me.
i was only addressing your broad generalization of looking at all food doctors recommend for pregnant people to avoid. while it does include lots of bad and unhealthy foods, these recommendations also include foods that are directly related to fetal development, hormone changes, etc
that’s not true. pregnant people are told to stay away from sushi because of immunity with raw fish. you should also not eat papaya while pregnant because it can cause premature contractions. you’re making a very broad generalization that the recommendation to pregnant people is completely nutrition based, but there’s many factors when growing a life inside you.
like in early pregnancy, you eat foods high in choline. that’s not because foods low in choline are bad for you, but because during early fetal development, choline builds neural tubes
but the tens of thousands of children before this somehow was not yet a war crime. between countless indiscriminate bombings and literally sniping children in the head. somehow, this is the line. only because the size of the bomb. fuck this world man
that mainly applies to trackers and analytics. the company still makes backend calls to its own servers and can do whatever it wants there with the location data it collects from you
the fact that i cannot use the app at all if i deny location permissions is a red flag. there’s no reason not to have a read only mode.
there may be no trackers as the other commenter mentioned about the TechCrunch analysis, but who is this random company that owns it: ALL U Chart, Inc. They’re likely pinging back their own servers with your coords
yeah cause they’re all getting money under the table in various forms. i’m convinced every politician that has not spoken out about the ridiculous shit that has been happening is bought out
but not of the US. and trump represent the US. many people consume news by inferring from headlines. and a headline like this one reads the canada is a foe of the us
