AI's going to kill us off by doing what we do better than us. Consuming resources and producing waste. And we're already pretty good at it.

Or make some more Zunes.

The alternative is stop traveling such huge distances all the time.

Other than public transportation and filling up the cars with people, instead of having one vehicle per person.

It is just a tool, if a writer can use it, why not? But without the writers and the involvement of humans to verify and edit the work, might as well just have the public use their own AI units instead of paying a studio for something they didn't put any hours into.

In 2003, the World Wide Web was still in its infancy. Dial-up connections were still the default and YouTube, Facebook, and Gmail had yet to be invented.

I'd argue it had reached its prime. Websites were just websites then, not data harvesting machines.

Trees replace themselves. So yes, forests store carbon, rather than specific trees. Also, dead trees don't just evaporate into the atmosphere. Other species eat them, etc. Over time, more and more carbon will be stored somewhere, if it's left alone.

Trees are cheap and effective, but humans are destructive. If we just left nature alone, cut meat production to a level where we could pull everything back to older fields, it would recover relatively quickly.

Meaning we need to prosecute and take punitive actions against humans and corporations who just can't cope with not being destructive. Any business that's willingly involved needs to lose everything. Make it impossible to profit from, remove the incentives for farmers when the money disappears and loans can't be given out because the banks stopped existing.

They shouldn't. They're not apologizing for what they're doing, but are behaving like politicians, changing the rhetoric to try to get people to like what they're going to do anyway.

Let them have the cardboard, just get rid of the plastic.

They have a huge EEZ, they should have plenty of potential for wind power. And have as much sun as most European countries.

They're doubling paid paternity leave, from 2 weeks to 4 weeks. Apparently paid maternal leave is 16 weeks.

If someone believes in a god that implements eternal torture, they believe in a god everyone should despise, and should at least be honest about that part. Don't call it love, call it fear and terror.

Main issue with a domain like that, is there are links to it everywhere. Very exploitable. Most of which Musk might not care about, but it would be a way of getting a lot of people's login information.

People are kept in prison without a conviction, for not affording bail. Owing a thousand times the lifetime earnings of other people should at the very least mean all your accounts and holdings are frozen, and you can't spend anything without getting independent approval every time.

Being able to admit you were wrong when faced with the facts would be the better position.

If it was truly about believing that there was fraud, and not just that they had to take action because their guy lost, they should've broken away at some point with loss after loss after loss in trying to uncover that fraud.

I assumed it was for the sake of the passengers (and customers choosing their preference isn't that big of a deal), but if it's about the employees of the company not being safe, then the company's not doing enough. For one, male drivers shouldn't be left on their own to deal with assaulters.

This sounds like a PR move rather than dealing with the problems.
