  • France and Germany are both ready to step up to be the new voice of the western world. I will be glad when the US finally finishes falling down the “up” escalator so they can get out of the way of serious peace talk attempts.

  • Normalize calling it “the Republican administration”. It’s not just one person it’s a fetid mass of enablers.

And let them be upset. What are they going to do: withdraw support and start an ill-advised trade war? That’s already happened. That’s what being “a friend” of the US gets you.

  • It’s true. My favorite tech podcast will (correctly) trumpet trans rights or BLM when it comes up in the news but haven’t said shit about Canada. They only bring up tariffs now in the context of their Switch 2 preorders getting delayed or their phones maybe getting more expensive.

So cancel that membership when it comes up for renewal, I guess.

  • It’s so much better on the other side.

Conversations with friends are more meaningful. Nobody hears what I’ve been up to until they ask, and because I haven’t pre-announced my life over socials I’ve noticed they’re more interested and they pay more attention.

  • While not a true coalition moment, I think the NDP arm twisting JT into passing a dental care bill for supply and confidence is a good example of a minority party able to put their thumb on the scale.

  • Speaking from experience in Canada, the 90 days is meaningless. Welcome to the dance of constant tariff threats every two weeks only to backpedal when the market crashes.

He does not have the attention span to wait 9 days let alone 90. This man is a toddler with a flamethrower having a tantrum.

  • I’m wondering why people save up points like this. I use my $10 every chance I get.

I’ve been locked out of my account three times over the years because I forgot to turn off my ad blocker when loading my grocery offers. The reactivation process is repetitive, nontransparent and takes weeks. No way I would recommend trusting thousands of dollars worth of points to this system.

  • Yet spammers find my clients’ contact forms and send dozens of emails an hour until I put on recapcha and then it stops.

I would love an alternative that isn’t swapping one insidious company with another.
