  • Don't worry, I usually don't (and I didn't say "the Jews", just "Jews" - big difference, since a "the" in front of it would imply that it's all while without "the" it's just a part of them).

It just was needed in this context for the sake of my comment (the irony would be harder to understand otherwise).

    I apologise

  • A bit different (since there was no war yet and it wasn't about the military) but after the assassination of Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo, Austria requested to send their own police to investigate the case around the "Black Hand" (the terror organisation that assassinated him).

It really isn't unusual for countries to deny foreign investigation.

  • I was born with bad eyes. People back then also were born with bad eyes but couldn't do anything about it.

Obviously you can also get bad eyes (shortsighted) when always only focusing on short distances but it's not the only way. Most people also become far sighted when they get older (the pressure inside your eye lowers and therefore your eye becomes shorter)

  • The ultimate idea afaik is to build huge renewable energy power plants (for example solar energy in deserts) to generate it there, and then transport it through pipelines to wherever you need it.

  • I love that since people can't just use memorized openings (I don't know any openings, just playing the way I like - for me chess isn't about memorizing patterns but rather about analysing the board to find the best move. I play chess because I want to think, not because I want to train openings)

  • You'll get used to them. Just remember to check if your tire profile is deep enough (4 mm), and slow down before curves + start accelerating halfway through them. And obviously keep more distance than usual.

Oh and always carry chains. Putting them on the tires isn't too hard, but try it once before (when your hands aren't cold and you aren't stressed). Most of the time you won't need them but when you do need them you really do.

  • I completely understand that features come in their native language first but even such long-standing features like call screening aren't available in any other language than English yet (also didn't know it even worked outside the USA)
