It seems like it just ends up killing a group’s momentum though. Instead of finding the common problems that affect everyone in the larger group me, you spend time talking about all the small issues that only effect some people in the group and then nothing gets done about the issues that actually affect a superlative or majority of the group.

As a northerner from a top 50 MSA, I have to say that I thought these towns only existed in quirky lifetime movies and black sketch comedy shows depicting comically absurd stereotypes of racist backwards towns. I mean wtf! Really?!

“Can’t see fully” honestly sounds much much worse than “can’t see perfectly”. I am not blind, but I certainly can’t see perfectly. Both are pretty stupid ways to describe blindness.

What’s respectful is describing disabilities accurately and still treating the people who have them like valid human beings who are as valuable as everyone else. Not treating them like fragile children.

That’s a horrendous headline. The EU is being criticized for appointing a U.S. lobbyist to a government position.

They’re trying now. If they did nothing then you wouldn’t say anything. But now that they actually are trying to, you’re slamming them for it. That’s silly.

If it’s a problem, then I’ll blame them for letting them build them in the first place, but I won’t blame the current ones for forcing it to be fixed. I hope they succeed.

I agree. Early Reddit was pretty shitty though. A totally different kind of shorty than it is now, but best reddit was shortly after subreddits.

You should pick something that pays the bills and gives you free time to do what you want, but it’s good for it to be something you find some enjoyment in. Not necessarily something you love. But something you can get some level of satisfaction from learning and doing.

That’s why Russia is putting up an internet-wide firewall. They know how effective they’ve been at weakening their enemies by manipulating conversations on the internet. They nearly took down our whole country not too long ago. And they are still dangerously close, as seen in the above story.

I really don’t understand how you can watch hardcore porn and then feel uncomfortable with kissing or sex scenes in movies. I can understand being bored by them, but I really don’t get how someone who watches hardcore porn could be made uncomfortable by kissing and sex in a movie.

Weirdly, it seems like porn has made people more prudish.

I quit by getting progressively weaker liquid. Sometimes I mixed my own and sometimes I’d have a vape shop do it. Every time, I would reduce nicotine content by 10% of whatever my current nicotine level was. Normally if I ran out, I would be in my car going to buy more. But after about a year of lowering nicotine this way, I ran out and said to myself, “I’ll get some the next time I’m out.” And I never did buy more.

The anti vaping laws are atrocious. They often seek to ban the type of e cigarettes that actually let you mix your own liquid or have vape shops mix them. The bills actually require tobacco flavoring and flavoring is the component with the least known health effects. Everything else is pretty well settled and reasonably safe relative to alcohol and caffeine.

This fails to say by what metric the bots are more efficient. Unless it’s just time-to-first-response. That’s the only metric referenced and it’s a stupid one if it’s the only metric.
