  • It probably dependes of your country but as a French, I would call the firemen. They are trained to removed some animals or to call the right professionnal for the job. They also are the specialist of fire hazard.

  • No but good-quality writing software add change the short dash automatically when the context is right. You can also keep a list of shortcut on your destop as memo or tap "Em Dash" on your search engine to find an example to copy paste.

    I don't know how to use them in English but I'm very carefull about using them right in my mother tongue.

    Once, I made the experiment of reporting a post (or a comment idk anymore) from sharkey. The admin of the sharkey instance was notified but not the Lemmy mod. But it was a year ago. A lot has change since.

  • I simply use the button provided in the interface. I don't even know exactly who is contacted.
    Actually, I realised recently I've been moded without realising. A few of m'y post than did not follow the rules have been taking out but they were on small community so I never notice than no one have replied.
