  • Crockpot/slow cooker meals. Especially ones that are good as leftovers. I do everything from beef stews to pulled pork bbq to shredded chicken etc. I also find it’s so much easier to eat healthy and still feel full which makes me less interested in beer and snacks.

  • Even status doesn’t matter for some airlines depending on where you live. Delta Status in Atlanta means basically nothing when everyone around you has it. I fly internationally 5 times a year and have flown airlines across the spectrum. The middle tier ones always end up feeling like the best deal in the end.

  • Until you acquire a new citizenship and renounce your US citizenship, the US government affects everything you do, regardless of where you are. Just leaving with no intention of returning does nothing. Source: me

  • Absolutely not true. If you want anything to do with US banking, social security, Embassy services, you better pay up. And every bank you open abroad is literally required to disclose to the IRS that you have a bank account with them. Source: I live abroad.
