  • Sorry, that's my mistake, it's actually on the User Tags page, under Track Votes:

  • I don't know, I think you're clearly underestimating how many people would install Valve's OS. The number of people with a Steam Deck that don't know that what it's running is a Linux distro is pretty high. The other piece to this is that it's not just a forced Windows update for a huge chunk of users, it's a forced device upgrade. Valve offering a free upgrade that negates the need to buy new hardware would absolutely capture people's attention.

  • Is the SteamOS version out yet? I wouldn't wanna pay the $200 Windows tax just to put Linux on it. I would wanna go with Bazzite though, it's just SteamOS++ honestly.

  • My guess is that even if she did, those friends wouldn't want their intimate relationships sold for capital.

  • It's the Voyager app, but it's a setting that's off by default. It's at the bottom of the Appearance settings.

  • If you're a member of the call, you'd want to be in a single-party consent jurisdiction.

  • By doing what? You said something that didn't make sense, and I questioned it.

But if you wanted to get into the whole anti-2nd amendment stuff, well, I'm glad we have stricter laws here. I never had to fear dying from a shooting in high school, I never had to go through metal detectors, or deal with cops on campus. ¯(ツ)

  • Are you calling me one? I'm an Australian socalist/greens voter 😂

  • As an Australian, did you want to maybe speak for yourself there mate? We haven't experienced any major regressions of progressive policies or rights, and just saw our right wing of government shrink to a record low when they tried to import Trump's culture war schtick. Historically our right wing has actually been fairly moderate. It was a right-wing government that instituted aggressive gun control laws in the 1990s, and a right-wing government that (for better or worse) was in power when same-sex marriage was legalised in the 2010s.

If anything, Australia is literally the poster child for "How Not to Inch Towards Fascism" that other countries should aspire too.

  • You do realise that automatic rifle ownership by civilians is incredibly illegal in the US, right? And has been for almost 100 years... An AR-15 is not an automatic rifle.

  • The Constitution only has meaning because you all say it has meaning. All of its enforcement comes down to the Executive branch. Congress doesn't have enforcers, the Judiciary doesn't have enforcers. Systematically, all of the people in the Executive branch that would stop this are being forced out. The people in power have decided the Constitution has no meaning, and it's too late to stop them. Killing some ICE agents is what they want so they have the justification to declare martial law and subjugate the entire country by force.

  • i don't kno if the mostest but like u two r up there!

no funi, jus, two sweet people i updoot lots bein nice to each other nd wanted to say somefing :3

edit: oh wait da funi was dat i updooted all of both ur comments in dis thread hehee

  • me when two of the creatures i updoot the most are having a thread with one another:

  • Yeah I mean, rule 1 is that it needs to run Linux, so I don't think a microcontroller like an ESP or Arduino is going to qualify...

  • Because lots of people don't have an insert key?

  • I'd argue that large parts of Lower Decks is as well honestly. Especially episodes where the main characters are busy with ship duties while the senior officers are off doing typical Star Trek plot stuff.

  • That's fair, and you're right that it's possible, but as well it's possible all those accounts come online in a 3-4 month rotation.

The more important point for me though is whether or not there are transphobic moderation instances. I know they can be really abrasive, I've seen the PTB threads, but none of that seems to have been major instances of transphobia that I can tell. I'm all for defederation in those cases when admins refuse to moderate transphobic dogwhistles and the like, I was super supportive of the feddit.uk defed for example. But one admin on a team of many saying something transphobic that's a personal view doesn't quite reach that threshold for me. Especially on a larger instance where I think we have to consider the ramifications of fracturing the community a lot more in my opinion.

  • They both have tens of thousands of less users. As for the moderation, I know they can be bad at that, and difficult to appeal to, but I've yet to see anything transphobic.
