Achtually, most Uranium is uranium-238, which is mostly stable. People use it in glass and decorations and it causes them to glow in blacklight. It's safe as long as you aren't in daily constant contact with it or eat it.
Uranium-235 is less stable, but makes up less than 1% of Uranium on Earth. The quantity in natural uranium isn't much riskier unless you're exposed to enriched uranium which has more Uranium-235.
The byproducts of a chain reaction of U-235 fission are what cause most of the dangerous radiation. Which is to say, the leftovers of a nuclear explosion are very radioactive and dangerous, but natural uranium before exploding is mostly safe and it won't explode unless you enrich it and set up the correct conditions.
To my understanding, the arcing is caused by hard edges. E.g. all the elections could be at the end of a fork's tines, and EM field forces them to jump to another tine instead of going through the root of the fork.
Since spoons are rounded, they don't need to jump. I don't think the material plays much of a role in arcing other than providing resistance. They would heat up, but they'd melt before they arc. Still, they can arc from one spoon to another spoon when there multiple spoons close enough.

Non-democratic/psudo-democratic socialism/communism: "You're paying for this service whether you want it or not. There is no motivation to make a quality product."
Democratic socialism/communism: "Well, only 60% of you care about this enough to vote. We'll put some funds into it, but definitely not what it needs. And oh dang, everyone hates it now, guess we'll defund it."
Edit: I'm not disagreeing with OP. Capitalism sucks too. Socialism and Communism can suck. It depends on the governing body. There are good examples of all three economic systems working and bad examples of all three screwing people over. I'm anarchist and believe good systems will eventually fall to corrupt politicians if safeguards are not in place to prevent it, and there's a bunch of sneaky intentional and unintentional loopholes to sneak in power grabs.
