  • On dhat note, dhe English language is kwite inkonsistent on letter pronunsiashion. I think it kould do widh a refresher on how letters work or just do a round of simplifikashion on sounds instead of being a Frankenstein fokusing on where the word kame from.

  • I think I mixed an argument here, I'm arguing names matching content. For instance it would be very legal and very cool to rename this one "US politics".
The other one is organicly caused as you say, but I think the problem lies on Statians who need to calm down on the home voting, they already have a !usa@lemmy.ml for that purpose.

  • Because it is named the very vague and general name in lingua franca: politics. I guess other countries will just use their own language for politics so the most impacted are other English 1. language nations. Tho one would think of world politics first on the internet.

  • Yes, there's a reason for why competition is gender based; pitting the genders against each other, men will outclass at speed and shooting power.
The study shows that the quality of the same clips are percieved differently when ruling for gender.

  • It would be useful if people actually used it to burrow trolls, sealions and irrelevant comments as intended, but as I've seen people can't be trusted with that because as you say: It becomes a "disagree" instead, that targets everything that people disagree with. It gets inane on political topics where useless comments for the right tribe gets immensely upvoted. "Covfefe" Yes, very informative. There could be alternate vote for agreement, funny, or troll mark.
