  • Oh trust me. I’m a character. Some may call it a narcissistic personality, but I don’t like to put just one label on things. As far as I’m concerned, this is a simulation whereby the universe and I likely came into existence at the same time. You too may be an NPC. The simulators have the resolution up high. Others in newer universes might look at mine though and think it’s pixilated, but there is no way to tell because this is all that I have to work with.

  • I don’t drive a car. I drive a truck. I take up multiple spots if it’s convenient and won’t ruffle anyone’s feathers. Today, someone tried to race ahead of me on a merge where they were in the right lane and I didn’t let them. They remind me of your sentiment. I could somehow let the person from the right lane cut in front of me by jamming on my breaks, but their place is clearly behind me in the right lane yielding to merge into my main lane. I am the main lane story, the cart boy is a supporting NPC.

  • Tell that to the laundry list of people that I knew that OD’d and died from fentanyl.

Also, I’ve seen people burn too hot as students and then have a breakdown and now work as servers and other odd jobs.

  • There are interim places that are out of the way of spots, like little islands where lampposts are mounted. The fact of the matter is that most lots don’t have enough corrales.

You might be able to make time to putz around the parking lot, but I keep busy. This is not a time management issue.

  • What if I’m in a rush? Also, as a customer, the carts and the people that gather the carts are part of the convenience of shopping quickly at the store. I return the cart when it’s not an inconvenience.

  • Exploding rockets is totally common in rocket science. In fact, their mission objective wasn’t even for the rocket to succeed at making it to space. When you put millions of pounds of fuel into a tube and heat it up, there is a lot to take into account. No one has ever launched anything this big, so they are going to have to iterate quite a few times. Even the computer models can’t catch everything. Sometimes it is as stupid as a bad part manufacturer.

  • It matters what the definition of you is. If it is the most abstract form of you then your thoughts are everywhere you deem them and the 7 inch rule is nullified and you can be transported anywhere.

  • Sorry for assuming that you were a black Zoomer. I was wrong for doing that.

I’m willing to read everything from all sides and play devil’s advocate in order to incite people into lively debate. That’s how I learn.

I’m not as racist as I let people on to believe in online forums. My goal is to do the thought experiment and come out on the other side with a better understanding of why I should or shouldn’t trust Sowell for example.

I commend you for your feedback on my debate tactics. I will stop making direct assertions about people and will instead make them into questions.

  • You are all talk and no substance. I tried to have a conversation, but you were too butt hurt that I would have the gumption to assume things about you based upon your answers. If someone calls you something that you are not, it is very easy to address that directly instead of being sour about it. You had a chance to change my mind. Instead you have solidified it further. You can’t answer those questions because you know it will lead to a line-of-reasoning that is disagreeable to you.

  • Sure.

    • How do you propose that the problem of disproportionate black crime and underachievement in America be addressed?
    • Why is Sowell’s solution of a culture shift not reasonable?
    • Why do black people have low representation in the middle and upper class when so many other ethnic groups have broken through this barrier?
  • “I think” is short for “I hypothesize based upon the evidence that I have been exposed to”. Kind of goes without saying, so I thought. Sure, I’m making some broad assumptions. I want to be proven wrong. Attacking my source’s character as calling them self-hating doesn’t really prove my points wrong. I wouldn’t still be conversing with you if I wasn’t interested in getting some differing opinions and possibly some useful facts. I can only infer your tone based upon your written words, so if they are not your intention, you may need to express that better. I am impressed how quickly you respond, however am still waiting for some substance to any of your counterclaims.

  • Why don’t you share your ideas instead of your bad attitude. I think that you are upset because you saw something that seemed racist and wanted to play SJW, but were met with real ideas that you could not defend against, so you fell back on “that’s racist” instead of being able to use a logic-based approach.

I agree that calling it a ghetto culture is an oversimplification, however that term seems to work well at summarizing the current situation. You could have argued so many things. I admittedly tried to make arguments on your behalf to help you. I don’t think black culture is inferior to white culture. I feel that, in its current form, most other cultures value education more. It really isn’t a white vs. black thing. Obama even tried to improve black culture through programs like Brother’s Keeper that give young black people role models after their fathers leave, which happens with a higher incidence than any other culture.

  • You are correct that I doubled-down on you being Gen-Z because it would be easy for you to correct if I was wrong. No outside parties are needed, so I took the gamble. A gamble or wager does not need to involve money. Definition #2 of wager is “used to express certainty”. That’s all it means. Also, you can gamble anything including simply staking your current understanding of an issue to give it up if wrong. Your lack of worldly knowledge is part of why I think you are close to if not Gen-Z.

At the moment, I don’t feel dishonest, just gaslighted since you are trying to fish for ways to peg me as a hypocrite as a deflection, but it is a red herring in order to avoid the true issues.

How will race issues ever be resolved if anyone with good ideas of how to resolve them is dubbed a racist or a self-hater. You are using the “that’s racist” mantra in order to create a wall instead of a dialog.

  • You are really latching onto that. The point that I was trying to make earlier was that you don’t have the numbers to indicate the breakout of black people that agree versus disagree with the author’s sentiments. I don’t reasonably have that either. If a supermajority of black people like their broken ghetto culture, then I don’t believe that they have grounds to complain about their current conditions nor should they get any special treatment.

  • I think that he loves black people, but hates the culture that it chose to adopt in America at present. That is not self-hating. That is being critical of a culture that was chosen in a very Stockholm syndrome sort of way. I think that he is trying to give black people agency to define a more responsible path forward. If you ever get a chance to watch the MLK comes out of a coma episode of The Boondocks, it speaks to this well. The black creators of The Boondocks must be conservatives or something.
