And Holiday Baking Championship on Food Network in the US as well as Cupcake Wars, a cookie one I can’t remember the name of, etc. Lots of baking shows.
Same way a steak can be charcoal outside and raw inside: too hot. You need to preheat your oven to the predetermined temp, which is set to a degree that allows the heat to penetrate all the way to the center slowly.
Abortion implies fertilization. Your typical carton of eggs comes from chickens that have not been near a rooster and therefore won’t have been fertilized. They’re just completed menstruation.
Starbucks doesn’t publish their bulk prices for obvious reasons, unfortunately. You can find people making guesses online (such as this guy) but for instance he uses Costco bulk coffee prices to calculate and I highly doubt Starbucks is paying that much. Your average small independent cafe is going to be getting their supplies from generic wholesale stores and sites, where you can view prices for cups and things. Hell, I know some places that legit just buy their milk for their cafe at places like Aldi. So they’re paying consumer prices for milk versus the bulk discount a mega corp would get.
Edit for missing period which made an odd sentence.
I would imagine economies of scale comes into it heavily. Smaller, independent cafes cannot get nearly the same low costs as huge corporations. They could easily be paying two, three times the price for supplies and don’t have the financial cushions to eat losses.
Similarly, my house was listed as two and a half bath. The second “full” bath is a random shower, toilet, and sink in the basement just… there. Open to the rest of the basement. No enclosing walls. lol
Ricotta isn’t a block cheese that you can buy pre-shredded like cheddar. It’s a pretty wet cheese and is usually sold in tubs in your basic markets, kind of like cottage cheese.
Thank you very much for clarifying. It makes sense if a subscription is not transferred but if someone does the outright payment that should be transferred. Asshole move if the one time unlock isn’t.
I must have misunderstood, because I know you have to pay $12,000-15,000 (seems the price has lowered) for the FSD to be available, then pay subscription on top of that. For some reason I thought they were saying the initial $12k+ “unlock” wouldn’t transfer.
I won’t argue that the US is exceedingly car-focused, but that’s partly because distances travelled are greater. When I was a kid, my elementary school was 2.6 miles (4.18 km) from my house, and many classmates would have been even further. I had classmates who had a 45 minute bus ride (time stretched by making multiple stops obviously). While I’m sure 5 year olds can bike 2.6 miles, it’s probably not ideal and certainly not ideal in snow/sub-zero (Fahrenheit) temps. Much of the US is just very spread out.
My dad an I both did 23 and Me. He made sure I knew he had done sperm donation before I met my mother just in case something came up. Well, it did! I have two half siblings from his donations! I think it’s cool, and I think he’s happy to know he helped two families have a child.
These or something similar are perfect, as a lefty.
Edit: but for the love of god don’t pay that much. I think they’re like $5-7 in store.
