It'd be one thing if they were adding any more value or removing their marketing surveillance, but paying this much per month for a blue check mark is just bonkers.
So he gets 41 months out of possible 20 years, and gets out in less than half that time? Fuck these people and this overly lenient federal system. Punishing people for non-violent crimes for with more prison time than people trying to overthrow our democracy is completely ridiculous. At least the ones that were convicted of felonies are on their criminal record forever, so that's a silver lining. Unless they can get the convictions reversed.
Well partly. Microsoft hosts US government data in a separate cloud than the rest of us, but having that get popped is pretty bad with all the FedRAMP security stuff in play.
I'd rather see it in whatever platform ensures you get the most % of the actual money. If the tip jar approach means Apple gets 30%. It's against their ToS to link to off-platform payment solutions, right, so you wouldn't be able to put a link to OC in the settings, I presume. Both is probably fine, in reality, money is money. OG users like us would just do whatever's more practical. I already use OC to donate to other FOSS projects, so this would just add to that monthly spend.
As you noted, lack electrical tape is your friend, on these. So annoying, but it works well. I got a headset where the charging base blinks green on and off, basically 24/7. Black tape was the first thing I did, even before using hte headset for the first time.
Seconded, the text already greys on read/vote, so this is redundant. Alternative option, move it to the right side of the text so it doesn't push content over.
I moved from a technical role to IT management. I never truly put the technical hat down though, so I can't speak to pure management vs. technical-only transition. I will say that the technical stuff keeps me interested, but the manager salary keeps me doing the job. This only works to a certain point though, and I'm happy with middle manager salary working from home making "big city" money.
I had the same issue after the lemmy.world hack. I use the Testflight version, and I needed to uninstall/reinstall it to get it to work again properly.
Can confirm, it’s due to font scaling. I would suggest hiding the instance instead of wrapping to a new line.
