  • Holding the highlighted red thumb key(s) will activate layers. So left thumb is nav, right is symnum, both is fun.

    The shift on R is only used for shortcuts, and acts as r when tapped and shift when held. For typing I use the two sticky shift combos on ring+middle homerow.

    When Windows 10 dies, I am going to jump ship over to Linux. Which version would you recommend for someone with zero prior experience with Linux? Edit: Linux Mint it shall be.

  • I’m glad to hear it. Linux in general has gotten way better in that regard. I haven’t had to fix any driver issues in years just install and it works.

  • PopOS is definitely a great first choice distribution. I would recommend Linux Mint over it for people coming from windows who wants something rock solid with a great community

    If that’s how you refer to communities on here hahaha. I just swapped from basically a TKL down to a Cheapino which is 3x5 with 3 keys on the thumb. It was a really steep learning curve but tbh I only really use 4 of the 6 thumb keys so if you want to go down to 34 keys I say go for it. It will be more difficult to transition though.
