  • I haven't looked into any of the Fate shows

It's certainly a can of worms waiting to be opened. For anime onlies, there is unfortunately no perfect watch order as Fate/Stay Night does not have a perfect anime adaptation, and it is essentially the base for all other titles in the franchise.

If you want to get into the Fate anime series (but don't necessarily want to read the original visual novel), your best bet is to start with either the 2014 Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works series, or 2006 Fate/Stay Night. Neither is a perfect introduction, for reasons that you can search up since this topic is discussed a lot.

After that you can continue with Fate/Zero, and pretty much any of the Fate titles.

  • I've recently completed several shows that were in a limbo in my currently watching list.

Fate/Apocrypha - It was a nice action show, especially liked the use of extremely distorted sound effects to portray power. Did not feel connected to any of the characters at all though, there were way too much and the show ended up not giving enough attention to any of them, except maybe Sieg.

Birdie Wing S1- I'm not a golfer, but it was fun, very "anime" show with all the imaginary power-ups and whatnot. Was expecting it to stay on the gambling side of golf for longer than it did, but not complaining. Might watch the second season at some point in time.

Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai! - CGDCT/SoL is not really my jam anymore but this one was enjoyable enough, although slightly boring at times and it took me a long time to finish. Didn't have too many running gags, which is good IMO because those get old fast.

Then I've also been watching the new season of Mushoku Tensei. It's really weird. The pacing has felt super off, and every episode somehow relates to Rudeus' dick not functioning. Which, if you ask me, is not a super interesting plot point to base your adventure story around. Will stick to it though, because I trust the story will eventually get back to the quality it was in the first season.

  • You could add a "then" to the end to make that wordplay even better than it already is!

  • INSIDE was cool and I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't say it's a game of the year by long shot. Although I guess that depends on what else was released in the year of 2016. For me it was a better experience than most AAA games, at least.

  • There is an NPO called The Mozilla Foundation that develops Firefox

Just to be precise, Firefox development is lead by Mozilla Corporation, which in theory is a for-profit company; however it is fully owned by the Mozilla Foundation, and all profit is reinvested to the Mozilla project.

  • I'd say Fairphone is less worse than e.g. Samsung or other big companies from a privacy perspective. Their phones are also promised long support cycle, meaning software updates as well as replacement parts, so buying used should be more viable than other brands. Although I believe they might be difficult to find if you're not in Europe.

  • Kertokaas gurut, miten arvioitte pörssisähkön hintakehityksen seuraavan vuoden aikana.

  • Does ProtonVPN offer port forwarding?

  • Modern Warfare 3 was so good they made a Modern Warfare 3 2.

  • Eikö kiikarit pikemminkin hankaloita näkemistä rajaamalla näkökentän pienemmäksi?

  • Voisivat tehdä vaateketju Voltin kanssa yhteistyökampanjan :D

  • "Joulupukki tulee etuajassa - Lahja 2023 saapuu maanantaina Suomeen"

  • I thought you'd just respawn at Earth, the more you know!

  • Totesin etten käynyt perjantaina lainkaan ulkona, nyt lähdössä Helsingin yöhön seikkailemaan. Saa laittaa viestiä jos täällä on bileitä jossain.

Edit: Löysin ohimennen UG teknobileet, oli kiva jammailla hetki siellä ennen kuin jatkoin seikkailua.

  • You would not have to do that if you just use an email provider that allows custom domains. Probably will have to pay up though.

I've heard that self-hosting your own email server is almost always a bad idea as it can/will get blacklisted.

  • For email, I recommend purchasing your own domain name and finding a provider that allows the use own your own domain (like Proton or Tutanota). A catch-all function is also good for making unique addresses per service, so you're mostly protected from data leaks and spam. Like lemmy@yourdomain.tld or clothingstore1@yourdomain.tld

Will make switching email providers much easier when you don't have to update your address to tens or hundreds of services you've registered on.

  • Finally getting into Kobaryo on my journey into hardcore techno. Gonna be banging my head to them this week.

  • Sorry if you've seen these already, went down my list from the highest scores so most of these are fairly popular.

Dororo... in a way? It's a story of one of the main characters trying to get his body parts back to become human.

Mob Psycho 100 kind of fits the bill, while self-improvement is not the focus, it's the driver of the story and the motivation of the protagonist.

Inu-Oh - kind of a similar premise as Dororo, but in a movie form, and instead of slaying demons it revolves around becoming a human via music performance.

A recent one: Onii-chan wa Oshimai (OniMai) - the main character, a NEET, is turned into a younger aged girl and begins their journey to become a functioning member of society.
