  • Vietin viime vuonna kekrihalloweensadonkorjuuta kahden kaverin kanssa. He näkivät sen halloween-bileinä, minä kekrijuhlana. Tänä vuonna hekin ovat käyttäneet kekri-sanaa, tänä viikonloppuna tai sitä seuraavana olisi tarkoitus tuo kekripäivä viettää.

  • I played through OW mostly right before bedtime last year, and IIRC I slept well, but of course your mileage may vary! I wouldn't call it "very intense" by any means, but certain sequences can be creepy or tense depending on the person playing.

You will know when the game is going to get tense, so you explore something else instead and save that part for daytime.

  • Outer Wilds.

Open World - Puzzle - Exploration - Mystery - Space

Outer Wilds is not small (15-25 hours, + about 10-15h for DLC), but it is a great game to be enjoyed in shorter gaming sessions (even just 30-60min) each night if that's your requirement. Although if you get hooked I expect you to think about the game during the day as well out of session.

OW is not too mechanics-intensive, nor is it action-based. Most of your time is spent exploring the nooks and crannies of a solar system and following your leads to uncover an ancient mystery. The puzzles are genius, differ between small and large in scale and figuring them out feels rewarding. For the most part, it is far from stressful, maybe excluding certain few parts of the game.

The game is very curiosity driven. Your hand is not held after the first hour or two - it's only you, your ship and the tools at your disposal. Progression is unlocked via knowledge, not power-ups or new tools, so you need to thirst for new pieces of information.

The game is on sale right now. If you're intrigued, give it a go!

  • Why? The fact that people are buying it now that it is on Steam already gives the message they didn't want to buy it when it was an Epic exclusive.

It gives the message that publishers can take the Epic money for a timed exclusive, face no backlash or consequences and get the money from other customers as well on other storefronts.

  • Sailing the seven seas for RS2014 is morally acceptable in this case.

  • pcpartpicker.com is a good resource. You can see the community builds for inspiration at least. It also tells you about most incompabilities for your build, but it's best to check with someone so you won't get parts that do not work with each other.

  • Eh, Hunter×Hunter gets quite heavy. The Hunter Exam arc gives a slightly lighthearted impression compared to latter parts, even if it does not have a ton of explicit gore, it is violent.

  • A lockscreen does prevent a thief from using your Steam account... unless you can boot to desktop mode before typing in the password, haven't checked that.

  • aika hamstrata makeutusaineversioita, ne on kohta harvinaisia

  • This is weird. Literally yesterday I was wondering when Epic would kill Bandcamp by making it streaming-only or some shit.

  • was this quote originally by Jim Sterling or someone else?

  • The first half sounds like they just copy-pasted the Eurovision hit Cha Cha Cha, and the latter was just lackluster.

  • Beyblade is still a thing 20 years later? Who would've thunkt! Haven't seen them in stores in ages though...

  • Spirituality and Distortion is probably my favourite album of all time. It's got the trademark Igorrr weirdness, but is an epic whole as well. Love the previous records as well.

  • I either buy CDs (and rip 'em to .FLAC files) or just purchase the files from the artist's own Bandcamp, because I hate subscription services. More money to the people making the music as well.

  • I almost never skip songs on albums, but Panda Eyes & DatPhoria - Keep Going ruins Panda Eyes' KIKO album IMO. The verses and drops were clearly written by two different people, but it sounds like they never heard each other's parts. Like they were glued together from separate songs.

  • Are you watching the 2011 version of HxH?

I'll probably try out the '90s anime for my next rewatch, since I've watched the new one five times by now.
