Shit like this is why I will never fly in an airplane. It simply isn't worth the constant disrespect and abuse.

People just don't get that it's our responsibility to make life fair, and nothing else will do it for us.

Fairness only comes from your mouth or your fists in this world.

That other people would do what is right and protect me from abuse, as a child and as an adult.

That the legal system will protect innocent people, punish the guilty and ensure justice is done.

That other people are higher-thinking and moral.

Okay, so the ruling class won't stop burning fossil fuels and the working class either can't or won't stop either, so what's the solution?

The solution being the mobilization of the working class.

The mobilization of the working class isn't going to do jack shit and arguably never really has in modern history.

The working class still needs water, gas and electricity and will still burn coal to get them easily whether the ruling class is there or not.

Okay, serious time: I actually did look it up after I finished freaking out and it turns out the thing is a palmetto bug AKA an American cockroach. I have it trapped in a Mason jar and I spent the goddamn afternoon clearing everything out of my room to make sure there are no other creepy-crawlies. There weren't any; the damn thing probably just got in from outside on account of summer ending.

I am serious about killing it, though. From what I read, those things spread everything from E. coli to salmonella to fucking Flood infection spores and that means it's not safe or just to just let it out. It seriously could get into a neighbor's house and spread pestilence and disease and shit.

I'll douse it with some boric acid or DE or something. Something good and effective.

Nah fam, evolution doesn't work that way and humanity didn't rise to the top by submitting to the will of evil hell monstrosities simply because they were there first. Elvis was there before Michael Jackson, did that stop MJ from beating most of his sales records, marrying his daughter and claiming the title of King of Pop? Nope.

That thing could possibly spread diseases, too, and might wander its way back into my house, or someone else's, and who would I be if I brought that kind of horror upon an unwitting neighbor? What if it bit somebody, or a house pet?

Does human life hold such little value to you that you are willing to choose a literal evil entity over one of your fellow humans?

That thing needs to die, and I shall kill it as soon as I think of an execution method I find suitable.

One thing you really have to learn in this world is how to disregard the feelings of other people. Other people's feelings are only rooted in their own self-interest and they will take advantage of your feelings and manipulate you to get what they want. They're not even aware they're even doing it half the time. It is the perennial human condition.
