Indie Dev Announces Switch 2 Game As More Rumors Swirl

Raiden NOVA coming west on October 31 for PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC

  • I've been playing Endless Ocean Luminous. It's super chill and interesting, I've been listening to/reading the descriptions for some of the animals I've been scanning and hopefully learning some ocean trivia. It's fun to do the shared or solo dives, but the story mode really drags. I'll try to finish it eventually, but it's not the most fun.

I will be getting into other games this weekend. I finally ordered Gravity Circuit on physical format, which will hopefully arrive early tomorrow. And I think I will get back to Tears of the Kingdom...

  • Streets of Rage 4 is so good for both singleplayer and co-op mode! Unlocking different characters and survival mode add a lot of replayability. It's so much fun!

  • This seems like the last chance to announce a Switch release for Metroid Prime 4. If we don’t see it, I’ll assume it was pushed to the next console.

Good point. It'd be awesome to see what they've come up with for MP4, but if they don't show anything, I'll assume the same.

  • I have the original and, can't remember what year I got it. But the d-pad is basically useless. It's all over the place!

  • I'm on holiday, so I've been playing lots of beat 'em ups on co-op 😁: Fight N' Rage, Streets Of Rage 4 and TMNT: Shredder's Revenge. Nothing new...

  • THIS, try playing Tetris 99 with the Pro Controller...

  • This looks pretty good. I wonder if the level design is better than Sonic, which is my main issue with Sonic games.

  • I'm ok at Tetris 99, not a pro but have managed to win very few times (with a bit of luck involved).

Huntdown I played the one on Switch, just "Huntdown". I remembed you mentioned X before. Is it the XBox version? I couldn't find it.

Jotun sounds good, I should check it out.

  • I've been playing a lot of Tetris 99 again...

I was playing Huntdown as I've mentioned in previous posts. But I got bored. The boss fights are challenging, but once you get the pattern, they go on for too long and you lose a lot and it's just boring. In higher levels they get quite annoying. I'll eventually finish it since I'm on the (apparently) last level, but it just drained my patience. Other than that the game is pretty good.

I should get back into Super Mario RPG or Tears of the Kingdom soon, but I'll probably get distracted with other games along the way 😅

How's Jotun? I got it on an Itch sale or something, and haven't played it through yet.

  • The only reality in which we can afford to buy land and build a house 😂

  • Oh, I didn't know about the sequel to Huntdown! I'll look it up.

Yeah, River City Girls 2 is still on my list, but I'm saving it to play co-op. But I don't think I'll be doing any co-op gaming this weekend.

  • I've been playing Huntdown and I'm on the last level now (I think). It's a really fun 16-bit inspired shooter with 80's vibes and a great soundtrack. The bosses are challenging but in a way that once you figure out the pattern, they're easy to beat.

I'm also going to play some Mario Wonder this weekend, I've been really enjoying it, but I feel like I haven't been able to dedicate enough time to it 😬

  • It does look pretty fun! I loved the 2012 show and I love beat 'em ups, so I'll definitely check it out.

  • The article poising this as an analogue competitor seems naive.

If you upload a video to YouTube, it has to have a clickbait title 😒

  • Yeah, I hate that Analogue releases are limited. If you miss the window, you either missed it forever or are willing to pay obscene prices on eBay 😞

  • As the video says, it doesn't provide all the functionality that the Analogue Pocket has, but it's a very good alternative for a decent price!
