I love material you and google design languages in general they're absolutely gorgeous every iteration of material design has been better than the last and that's why I use sync for lemmy and have only used pixels since they came out but it's definitely a mobile paradigm it just feels off on a pc and their obsession with looks often come at the cost of actual usability like them getting rid of taskbar icons and putting them in an overflow menu that works for a phone where you have limited space but on a pc it's just stupid it's far more productive and quick having them out in the open and you have enough space on a monitor
I've tried simple calendar you can't it's clearly not using the android calendar system but it's own one stored in the apps data so it doesn't share to other apps
bethesda is not making a whole new engine from scratch that just isn't happening if they switched engine it'd probably just be to a licensed engine like unreal and that sucks for mod support the reality isn't creation engine vs a from scratch in house engine that supports modding just as well but with less jank it's creation engine vs unreal or something else maybe but not in house and there's no other engine out there that currently exists that's as good for modding
a wholly new engine would almost certainly break mods or atleast make them harder to make as janky as creation engine can be it's the best engine for modding there is and bethesda games absolutely need modding and not just cause the glitches
you can actually get around the local account thing with a windows pro licence instead of home not to defend it that's stupid and anti consumer and I hate that but just in case you didn't know they do harass you a bit less about local accounts at least with that so I got that as it was almost the same price as home for me anyway but yeah windows sucks I dual boot mint for that reason and prefer using mint but sometimes some things just only work on windows like bethesda games are just meant to be modded and none of the mod managers support linux there's sort of a workaround for MO2 but it's not great and fomod installers don't work
other way round for me
