  • I'm sorry what you had to be using a terrible induction hob I don't know what ceramic hobs are but induction is really really responsive heating up and cooling down in what feels like a near instant and able to get absolutely screaming hot it's just so much better and then you take the pan off the hob and within seconds you can touch the hob and it's just kind of warm induction is great genuinely what are you talking about

edit: I looked on wikipedia for ceramic that seems to be exactly what I was talking about by electric hobs literally the worst hob there is

  • no I hate punctuation

  • inductions great electric is bad they're different technologies electric hobs are just a thing that gets hot and they're very inefficient induction does it through magnets they're very efficient and responsive getting hot really quickly and cold really quickly when you turn them off which also makes them safer electric takes forever to heat up or cool down though and also from what I remember I might be wrong is actually so energy inefficient that it's worse for the planet than gas hobs

  • induction* electric stoves are awful

  • deal rule

    Jump
  • jorjor

  • what are you talking about this is a dystopia the abortion clinic has a sale sign in other words healthcare isn't free in this image americans cannot conceive of free healthcare even in the "leftist takeover" imaginary scenario also there's still cars being used for just getting from point a to b literal hell world

  • same ones it's just taking quite a long time

  • ah haven't tried vr too expensive for me and not enough space really wanna try it in future though alyx and beat saber look really cool hopefully that'll improve soon with all the rumours of valves deckard headset and them dedicating so much to linux I mean deckard will probably still be tethered to a pc so it's not a guarantee since most people will be on windows then but maybe it'll come with improvements to vr on linux

  • yeah I'm also quite a noob with linux I've only been using it for about a year and also dual boot my pc for the few games I have to for me it's actually bethesda games mostly due to no mod managers on linux and I know there's the workaround for MO2 which is what I use anyway but fomods didn't work :/ I'm also actually playing through hollow knight on my deck at the moment though vanilla and that's been working flawlessly as for curseforge dunno what you're modding but if it's mc I used prism launcher and that worked flawlessly way better than curseforge on even windows with that being full of bloat

  • linux gaming is basically there at this point proton can run most games flawlessly unless you wanna play games with hyper aggressive drm or anticheat it mostly "just works"

  • they said accidentally sit on it and I said if you sit on them not if you were shoved into them and like I said they probably aren't all that sharp anyway so even then you'd probably be fine some minor scrapes and cuts at the very worst nothing serious

  • if you sat on it it wouldn't do any physical harm if you sit on a lot of spikes they don't actually puncture anything it's just really uncomfortable so you definitely don't want to sit on it won't actually injure you also they probably aren't sharp enough that one could do anything anyway just enough to hurt

  • gerald is a moron who's gone stark raving mad I understand none of his ramblings jim sounds far more sensible EGG

  • ublock origin has inbuilt filters you can turn on for cookie popups that work for almost every site I've been to I almost never see them anymore ublock origin is just all around great

  • don't use ghostery it's a honeypot owned by an ad/tracking company

  • wrong it happened again like yesterday boeing AH-64D apache longbow

  • yeah I'm not saying there aren't bad ones but I'm sure if you looked you could find a midzone where they aren't that cheap cause they use better materials and have higher quality but without the insane prices of lego the company

  • yeah the trademark is a bit of a thing I do feel like that should probably be genericised as that's just the name of the object at this point but not all lego alternatives are bad I'm pretty sure you can find good alternatives for a decent price I don't know for certain as I'm not into lego but I highly doubt lego the company are the only company that make decent lego

  • pretty sure it already has
