I don't think the idea itself is awful, but everyone is so fed up with AI bullshit that any attempt to integrate even an iota of it will be received very poorly, so I'm not sure it's worth it.

Actually no, I don't remember when email was ever useful and I do remember dial-up internet 😂

It used to be chain emails "Send this to 10 other people or YOU'LL DIE" and people forwarding other people's bad picture slideshows and even worse uplifting inspiring cards without looking at them, and now it's automated slop.

With software encryption you get updates in case vulnerabilities are discovered and such. With hardware... I guess you might get them if you think to check for them? That sounds like a pain though. Also if the algorithm used suddenly becomes obsolete because of new discoveries, you're now left with a very expensive unsecure disk?

But I'm not very knowledgeable in encryption so I might be wrong.

Good point I'd forgotten about that! We use A a lot and Q almost never so obviously we need both letters switched around so that the pinkie is on the letter Q and A is harder to reach 😂

Having to use workarounds for your keyboad layout to be usable means that it's a bad keyboard layout

I learnt English as a child when we got dial-up internet because many applications were not translated and anyways most troubleshooting forums were in English. We had an English class at school but the motivation to actually pay attention was COMPUTEEEEEERS 😄
