  • Trying to blame is indeed of little help here right now. But it also worries me that such a basic vulnerability exists in the first place. It's like the #1 rule to not trust user-input. I hope this is the only such trivial one and we won't wake up to someone exploiting an SQL injection next.

  • Some places are insanely polluted to the point where you wonder how a whole company could be so braindead and essentially poison themselves.
    A place not far from where I live had a chemical plant which just dumped loads of chemicals on a meadow for years. Now there are ground water pumps installed there which need to run 24/7 so that the chemicals don't contaminate nearby rivers and hence the rest of the country.
    When taking samples from the pumped up water you can smell gasoline.

  • They do care about how they lived their lives though. And I'd much rather like an animal which could roam around almost freely and enjoy its short life instead of one locked up in a tiny box in which it can barely move, suffering until its death.

  • nah, meat is great. Just the sourcing of it is not so great. Get your meat from a local butcher where you know where the animal came from.
    Or better yet, if you have the space, time and money: get your own livestock.

  • I still think it's a terrible compromise. I actually looke specifically for a phone without one and ended up with a Sony Xperia. Sure, the front isn't 100% screen and I have tiny bars above and below the screen, but who cares?

    • In my understanding of the main principles of the Fediverse, federating with any large corp should never even be considered. Is my understanding wrong? What is the "idea of the fediverse" to you?
